agree the whole devil thing is overhyped these days.. people will understand, and move over it eventually. but the idea of " errie sounds" will exist for a long time samples of strangling , screaming, butchering, etc, will fade away.

well this actittude of crying instead of concentrating in your own music style or in your own music creating isnt very mature of you people also...
and trying to prove others that your right isnt ''a very psychadelic behavior'' of your part..
personally i like this fast heavy music...and the covers art works some are really out of concept..but others are great...and many of the today producers are clasified as dark..just because they produce fast music..and there are also someones that are in the ''horror'' kind of music..both are for disfrent tastes...i enjoy both..if you thin its tha same bullshit...ask your mome to try to diffrence tracks from you prefered style
you can wear a skull t-shir..but that doesnt make you a satanic peolple..tha makes you a badass...well think tha same here...

Ok, i dont get it, when you wrote that there are 2 kinds a goa influenced and a hardcore influenced one, well i do understand the Goa one which is the night time trance that without being satanic actually gets you tripping, for example most of the northern california trance, Mubali, Penta, Parus, konflux and even arahat from southern Cali etc.....
then here is where dont get it, a hardcore influenced one, Hardcore to me and probably to every single person that knows about hardcore dont get it, Hardcore FYI is nothing else than the faster/harder/stronger punk rock, and even when back in the 80's Ian Mackay dindt know he was leading a band that would end as the icon of the hardcore ecene as "Minor Threat" he did something else, influenced a whole ecene, yes the hardcore ecene with a new ideal, the straight edge, no drugs, no alcohol, just MOSH.....
so to be honest if there was any kind of influence by XhardcoreX on this ecene is not on dark trance not even close to be one......
now that i remember even Goa Gil talked about it on a interview that should be somewhere here on isratrance that last about an hour where he gets asked about the same issue and he answers clearly that youngsters tend to mislead and mix match diferent icons, images and ideals to be one that is not.
but if that makes them happy, so let it be...
what harm could they do to you?
the day i see a live act or a Dj claiming he is straight edge and gets the X's on his wrist when he plays, then i would say wow he's a hardcore kid......

Maybe i miss the point here. A part of the question would have been if the hardcore influenced (and by this I refer to genres as gabber, speedcore, terrorcore) are the ones who use most satanic icnography that the goa influenced ones.

Well duh, anybody can understand that. I think the problem is that this horror trance with satanic covers comes out as if it were psychedelic trance when it probably belongs more in something like the death metal scene. I mean its not like they are giving all the horror shit some psychedelic spin and vision, its basically the same death metal vibe and attitudes applied to trance.
So it's not about respecting peoples differences in musical taste, its about whether lumping it all together under the same basket of psy trance makes sense. Its like the next time you go to psyshop you see a bunch of DJ tiesto cds, or cheesy vocal house music cd's. You are going to say oh what the fuck is this, like what happened to the real psy trance?
I guess you can only control so much.

THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE MUSIC OR THE IDIOTIC COVERS OR THE TRACK NAMES OR WHATEVER.THE PROBLEM IS THAT THIS THING IS LABELLED AS PSY TRANCE WHEN IT HAS TO DO VERY LITTLE WITH PSY TRANCE NOT TO SAY NOTHING.
JUST GET YOURSELF A DUTCH HAPPY HARDCORE/GABBA CD,LISTEN TO IT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF IF "DARK PSY" IS CLOSER TO GABBA OR PSY TRANCE.BUT OFCOURSE ITS NOT WISE TO ASSOCIATE DARK PSY WITH GABBA SINCE GABBA IS DEAD SO PSY TRANCE IS A BETTER WAY TO MARKET THINGS (though they kept the idiotic gabba covers LOL).

i think that the music under these covers is more psychadelic that the one under yours..
you can put a dead cow, around a penthagram and a devil splitting it in two under your cheesy ''fullon'' music and it will still be ''psychadelic''...
like we say in mexico:

and the only thing that ''darkpsy'' has to do with gabba is the speed and just the speed...gabba is more distorted..
the diffrence is what every people choose to assosiate its music too..but it will still be psychadelic..
