BTW just to make an obscure observation..

How the protectors of the dark psy, @ the moment they need to provide something less far fetched then jokes and bad manners start being even more "funny"

Ofcourse the example of tripping was taken out of its original context by my debating friend, since its original meaning was to show that CD covers do have a meaning while as they come into a genre that calls itself "psychedelic"

I think btw that the Wizzy Noise CD cover that was shown earlier is as bad.. It just have no further damage possibilities since it's simply stupid and has nothing to do with psy trance. Satanism on the other hand, has.           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

I find fractals very boring, another example how dark psy debaters take the words out of context, my observation was merely to make a point.

I'm not a protector of dark psy. I just felt compelled to bring up the point that it really dosn't matter what fucking image you stick on the cover. I just don't take things on face value like that. Listening pleasure is whats its about for me. I'm just tired of party poopers arguing the toss over every little thing.

For the record I am down with prog / full on / minimal and dark. No favourite. I can enjoy them all at the right moment. And what ever image is on the cover doesn't change that one little bit.           http://www.whatacunt.co.uk/

I think that you are missing the fact that the people making most of this "evil" artwork have a strict belief in nothing. It's a work. Didn't you guys ever watch the WWF?

No, it's just that psytrance producers and labels are lazy and unoriginal... Also, fans of psytrance have not forced them to raise the bar enough by saying, "Stop this, this is fucking boring!"

BTW

If those dark psy labels, would really want to lift the bar they would maybe like to purchase a cover from serious dark artist such as Hans Ruedi Giger for instance. As I said previously, if you believe in something - just do it, I might not like it, but it's easy to feel one's intention. But if something is done in a sloppy way, that feels like not really much energy was invested in doing that something but the energy of selling the product to teenagers, then it's plain stupid.           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

Giger is ok, but there are new wolves in the stable... Bertmer is one example, but there are many more making insane stuff...

I am happy that after 3 pages we are finally talking.

So now we see the difference in the way we see things

I, for one, think that as long as CD / Vinyl exist, and not completely extinct, there is a lot of meaning to the cover of the compilation / album, and if done good, it can add a lot to the product. Ofcourse, that the music is the most important part of the product, but I still enjoy covers of early Genesis for instance, when I hear the CD's           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman
