to be honest these indeed are like 10 commandments to belong into the club of recognized psytrance producers, almost nobody do it different. The video is a joke , sad for people who live psytrance from bottom of heart as a lifestyle.

this formulaic music is the only accepted variation of psy.
the lighter version... which is very far from the true essence....

Once, on Commodore Amiga, there was a sample in a Soundtracker Sample-Package: "Don't believe the Hype"...
The "thing" Psytrance is delivered from the people who received it via their (comsic) spirit to the next generation.
Now we, or "the peolpe", can do what they want to do with, a psychedelic way, a commercial way, whatever is possible...
In the development we can see, which crowed streams to which actor and which actor generates for which crowed...
Maybe its like it ever was...
The alternative to the alternative exchanges mostly the deep...

The thing is lack of imagination, and repeat use of the same stuff by many producers. One dude got the formula, and then everybody around engineering tracks that use the same exact principles, not trying to evolve the genre but make it come to complete halt.
exacly, and dispite all that you said, i would also add, that Loud at least input lot of effort in sound design aspects
you can easly detect that they play a lot with syntesis before making music, even if their structure might fit in stereotype, doesnt necessarly mean they are nott making an effort in trying to make their tracks unique...
the problem is, many people today have afraid of create something new, they dont try to be unique, they allready have even before make music their own target, and their target today is to make that kind of Tech/prog, because it apears in most of multi-day big festivals line ups, and most producers dream about appear in thouse events...
its a pitty actually, because its not only a problem of progress trance...
its also a problem of every other sub-genre, there is so much to exlore and diferent ways of input new things into dance/trance music, its just a maatter of how creative and persistent you are in order to get new things...
but people arent up to it, they want things fast, and they want to get gigs´...
if people just make the music the best they could without any kind of pretencious end, it would be perfect, but we all know how the humans are...
in this world on the best and the most original get their piece of the cake, the others try to run to it, to emulate, but they will get there too late...

It also makes me funny in the saddest way to hear that the solution is "go underground, fuck comercial, lets no one hear us".Come on folks, this is a joke.First of all, sense when it is a must for good music to be underground?Psychedelic rock was underground?Jazz was underground?Classical?Baroque?Romantic?Good music is good music,no matter what button you have to press in your elevator to get there,be it underground or 8 fucking floor.
All is needed, are producers with vision, and balls, and also the patience to explore the art of making something new.Someone who bring order to chaos of sounds in a new matter.Getting more underground means that eventually no one will know there is something beside engineered music.
Be creative, stand your ground, fight for your music. And then your music drive people to change the world, instead of being fashion statement,of drugged up youngsters.
From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

Why not be different and make a storm on 8th floor? Have the balls and be different discover a fresh new and untouched world, be a true artist and don't copy what has been done millions times before.
Imo it has not much to do with underground or not (cause psytrance is mostly all sounding mostly the same) the avarage essence formula is in 99% of all cases the same which works fine and impressive for young ears

i've got no problem with that.
but my #1 reason why i think psytrance has become shit is also included in this video:
1:27.
and #2 is the bass/kick pattern at around 4:14.

things get to a turning point, when the producers begin to realize that something needs to change.
it's what happening now in our scene and in others too.
going back to the past, is something that most people don't do these days. I think they should.
usually when people get stuck into the same patterns that everyone is repeating, going back to the past for inspiration is a way out.
some people changed their sound a lot, yet I don't think they lost the old skills...
if it's hard to innovate, the solution might be to blend older influences with the fresh sound.

innovation crysis. when people skrillex (the so called genius, by the media and press) get to RIDICULOUS of recycling the SAME EXACT SOUNDS and vocal samples in all of his eps.

Yes,last part is very correct,I think. It is extremely difficult to innovate from scratch, unless you are genious with borderline personality and psychological issues. It is possible to innovate a bit, steal a bit, blend from others a bit.So lets get to work people .

in the past there were prolific phases when people came up with great new things.
the past experience is an advantage.

Yep it has a point, but good producers don't do those things like electric universe, space tribe, and many others, the producers that usually do that bad taste things are pop psytrance producers without art...
saying that all psytrance is like that just shows ignorance...

Producers with 'vision and balls' have been innovating, exploring and breaking the patterns of the past for years. And they most often get ignored and forgotten about when people on Isratrance make lists of 'good producers'.
