I think that everybody should know this.

I have boght some music @ psyshop.com and it never arrived, after a bunch of unanswered e mails for mr. Rolf, i´ve decided to call them by telefone for some explanatios. Guess what ?

He told me with the worse english I´ve ever heard, that my parcel got stuck on brazilian custom by some import taxes issues, that I really think that should be added on the web commerce site before the order confirmation when dealing with other countries customers. When I asked him when he would return my money that was already charged on my credit card, he told me that he would initiate an investigation to find out what really has happened. By the way, it took six months.

After this, he apologized and told me that it would never happen again.

Bullshit, I´ve believed him, and placed another order, that never arrived, I got so pissed off that even bothered to call him again.

Talking to other brazilian djs, I´ve found out that the same thing took place with them as well.

So, be carefull whith this webshop, otherwise you could be ripped off to.

Regards ....           You may think you can fly, but you better not try .......

Avoid Psyshop. Their cost is higher, their mailing taxes are the highest around, not to meantion that they just don't care abou their costumers (same goes to YSE Records).

I always buy at Saikosounds and Beatspace, ordered more than 50 cds and up to now had no problems. I'm waiting for 4 CDs to arrive from Saikosounds right now... heheh...

I've ordred about 70-90 albums from psyshop.com in the last 8 months (I also use the other shops when psyshop dont have the product I'm looking for) and I have never ever had one problem with them. And I always get my order 2 days after I booked it. Maybe because I live in Scandinavia? If so.. ok. .. PS. The prices are not higher or lower then the others. again. Location location location?

...I´ve already bought from beatspace too, this one is fast, and you receive an e mail with the parcel status.

The only inconvenience is that their catalog is not too large.           You may think you can fly, but you better not try .......

so if i'm getting this correct Psyshop's CD's in brazil need to pay custom taxes, whereas other cd's shipped from elswhere don't? My guess is they all pay taxes... in which case, is it correct to blame psyshop for the fact the Brazilian Customs messed up and took your cd's?

I'm not being the devil's advocate here, i personally don't buy from psyshop either... but it seems strange to blame them for it, or am i missing something? I live in a third world country too and i know how it goes, and it's real nice when you don't get your cd's and shops are willing back it up and re-send what you paid for, though.

Inquire about Express Parcel System (EPS) in your country (which is not same thing as FEDex, is cheaper... and you have to pick up the package but at least you get them

I've had a few problems with Psyshop... but considered how many times I've ordered from them, it's very little. I've also had problems with Trance-Shop. But shit happens... face it.           LABEL-DJ @ 3D VISION RECORDINGS | www.myspace.com/djraider | www.myspace.com/3dvisionrecordings

i used to order from psyshop (have had more than 15 orders) without problems. then once my parcel didn't arrive. after 4 months and endless e-mails i got my money back...

but, i never ordered smth since then. even in the thought that it *might* happen again i get frustrated. there's NO way i am going through all this stress again. better off with local stores... or i might try another online shop (maybe).           .

Not just brazilian customs charge import taxes, many coutry customs does, that could depend of the amount involved, anyway, all other e-shops that I have already buy things from, add the taxes value and the shipping fee. Some even include a small fee for handling, and I must say here for the record, that I buy from many e-shops over the world, and the only one that I had prblems with, is psyshop.com. Twice ...

I´ve already tried that too, but they told me that they only work with one delivery company, that is so lame that u can´t even track down your parcel.

The only time I had problems with psyshop was because they sent me the wrong cd.

Sent then an email and a few days later received the ones i had ordered and a note apologising and saying to keep the other cd for the trouble....

So I´ve got quite a good impression about them....

Ok, maybe they are not aware of the brazilian system and the best way to send products to brazil, but to say they ripped you off and doing such statements here is a bit too much no?

And u know these things can be a bit slow in brazil (customs, etc) so those 6 months u talk about was probably some burocracy shit. They can´t give you the money back before they know what exactly happenend to the order or they´ll just loose money...

Maybe if you tried to explain them how the system works in your country and letting them know the best way to send things there would help a bit more no...?

I don´t see how a thread like this will help you solving this problem, I just see it affecting their business...

boomz...

customs must always be paid as far as i know
most companies are nice enough to say that the package does not have any commercial value, and you get off not paying anything.
some do not go to this length however, and you are stuck with an unexpected bill of sometimes almost as much as the product itself           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

I ordered a lot of time to the psyshop, cd's and vinyls, and I never had any problems. Just one time they send me the wrong vinyl, and of course they change it to me free of charge.
No problem in switzerland ! and much better, you don't pay the tva...only the customs... It's always the same with an internationnal package...

... people which are only one mouseclick away to download an album.

anyway i always try to order my cds from the label directly!
