Hi All
Wanted to know EveryOnes Opinion about the Promotion of PSY Music ...
My Opinions
1 . I consider Psy as Future Music
2 . In my opinion Upgradation is required in Every Style Or Genre of Music .
3 . I like this Music because it doesnt have that Crappy Vocals atleast ...
thinking caps are on Folks ... What all You say .. Please share your Valuable Opinions .

Ahmm ... There is no question about it 
Promote or not either way the underground music scene is becoming bigger by the day and slowly getting into the mainstream making a transformation of sorts ...  I hope this afore mentioned reality coincides with reality in actuality !

There's no need to promote it. It was born underground and was supposed to stay that way. Listen to the music and enjoy it, leave the promoting part. Do we need public relations officers for psytrance?
What is meant by upgradation of a music genre?
IMHO, vocals aren't crappy, atleast in goa-psy..

As a listener, probably not. But the artists need to promote their music no. Just so that we can have this music getting better in the future.
But promotion like 'listen to this, this is great' doesn't make sense. It has to be your choice at the right time. Psy scene in India is like jazz, every outsider who listens to it, hates it. But both genres have consistently stuck with their underground nature and are getting new people to like it. It's just a figurative example so please don't come after me with guns blazing!
Just that they have more public tolerance. Till then, bajaoo..

I think u need to listen/explore more music....it is very UN-psychedelic to be so closed minded when it comes to other genres of music....
IMO i think that the evolution of psytrance would benefit greatly if more artists looked outside our own community for inspiration....and i dont mean something so simple as chucking in some guitars or a vocal or even other instrumentation....its far more subtle than that....
For me psychedelic is more than just crazy sounds...its about expression...and hearing the ways people express themselves through different forms of music....
I get the feeling i might have misinterpreted what you were getting at but anyway this is somehting ive wanted to say...
Anyhows if u want more "futuristic" style stuff...without vocals

Many a times i listen to ppl saying that the genre PSY-TRANCE or in that matter ELCTRONICA is related to drugs  at that point i think whether shud i clarify them or will i be bangin my head in that case.....i feel PSY_TRANCE is a religion as we link this music to our psyche, some relate to lord shiva and other gods and deities, some to there surroundings, aliens , horror, it is jus the state of mind and different stories in life, PSY_TRANCE is self explanatory, wat we need is MIND that understands it  ..... rest leave it to BOOM BHOLENATH.....  just DANCE on TRANCE.

People who understand it love it..
We've all have been listening to music juggling through different genres since we were young.But never before has music taken over me like psy tends to. All the genres i've been through i've never been on a forum talking about a genre of music whereas psy intrigues to take it that level........... dance trance, exploring emotions, levels of consciousness all these ideas.
Psy to me is more than music, it goes way beyond that. Its a scene, an outlook,a lifestyle,a way of expression.
Psy should be promoted but in two forms
The mainstream which most clubbers would also tend to enjoy.
The psychedelic, dark, twisted, creepy stuff should keep the underground, purist crowd content.
And there is always old goa which held its own that appealed to everyone.
All in all....... Great form of music........ Respect !

the whole thing about psy may be whatever?!?!?!?!
but the little thing that i know is that sound production quality in trance is good and it sounds good thus.coz ive been listening to genres where ppl deliberately go for low quality production i found balance in between.
i listen to different music to promote different energies in me(and thats the only kind of promotion i know about).
more commercialization will eventually kill the basic vibe of the genre,and if u have been listening music for a while and other genres then u will get the point.
rock n roll died of overproduction and aping, punks have become snoop dogs,metal has turned into a goof flood....................
actually what i want to say will become clear thru this.....................
once there was a mango tree deep in the forest,untouched by man.
then came a bunch of tribesmen who cleared the forest and started living nearby.
the tribe children found the mango tree and in their haze of their age they enjoyed the seasons of that tree.
one day the tribesmen saw the tree and was awed by the fruit of the tree.they watered the tree they put manure for it and finally they took all the its fruit,and sell it in the city.
hahaha
