I suppose you haven't entered the settings yet.

Go to Devices -> Device Setup -> VST Multitrack

Then select the proper ASIO driver/Soundcard driver (always priority to ASIO).

Another source of errors (supposing you're working with a VST instrument) could be a wrong input /output. Make sure you select the soundcard as input and the VST instrument as an output in the Inspector on the left.

I configure the VST multitrack with my ASIO driver, but i can select only stereo in/stereo out on inspector...is that correct? i can't see another option, like VST on this menu.

Press F4 and make sure your VST outputs are connected correctly to your soundcard inputs.

Are you getting levels on the channel meters in SX when you play back, or not?           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

No don't have any levels. I'm trying to do this: simple open one tutorial file that came with the package (tutorial3.cpr) and click play. i don't include any vst instrument on the opened project, and i don't have a MIDI keyboard or something, just my computer. I changed the ASIO driver to one that i downloaded from asio4all.com, don't work.

Solve the problem...the input gain in mixer was too low. I put '0' and everything is working now. Living and learning...thank's for spending your time with this post.

See you
