why must trance be listened to at absolute maximum volume indoors?

it hurts my ears, your ears, your friends ears...

everyone swears they won't be that loud when its soundcheck...

but then when its party time its 4 reds on the dj-mixer all night long...

ear damage only shows up after some years you know... just because its ok tomorrow doesnt mean you didnt do damage.

orgs- get some earplugs to give away-
hire a good sound person to tune the system and if they are not respecting the delicate ears of everyone get a new sound-guy. politics or not-

dj's- the track is good or not. turning it up will not help. get over it. have some respect for your ears. they are your tools

producers- times 10!!!!!

guy dancing in the front always saying "turn it up!" - no. and stop asking for it moron.

if you need more sonic impact its probably because your sound-system is not set up right or is not large enough or is too spread out...
turning the volume up will only hurt things...

tiles, stones, concrete, brick, hard surfaces, ouch... these reflective surfaces make sound splatter all over the place
proper acoustic treatment of a room will clean up the sound.
eq will not help AT ALL.

respect the ears yo!

EQing the P.A. will help compensate somewhat for the room's inadequacies. But DJs going well into the reds of the mixer is a common problem. Turning up the DJ booth/monitors from the FOH desk will hopefuly stop them from turning it up all the way, but most set ups have the DJ booth level from the DJ mixer.
But if people want you to turn it up its not because they are morons (well not all the times)...its probably because they are off their tits and love the music...anyhow in any case its up to the guy on the stage to protect them.
All profressional DJs/producers that play out often, should have flat frequency response ear plugs. Bit expensive but necessary.

very true. its the responsibilities of the music makers and orgs to keep in in control.
and you are right. i must simply buy some good ear filters. hopefully people see this post and start to think about turning it back down a bit to a reasonable level to not hurt the ears of people who are not off their tits.

the bass has to be loud to feel it move through your body, and then the highs/mids have to be loud or you won't be able to hear them over the bass

because its f* ckng goodz to hear trance loud, specially when your high.
I just want to listen it loud, like in those cds "listen it loud"
Just play it super loud in the cave, and f*ckz quality, and if its "wav", "unrls", or if "goes red in the mixer"

loud is ok but red in the mixer is a pity for crystalclear frequencies           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

Id say red is ,at any case, wrong. Sth is for sure over the maximum of quality and no matter how kool the set is it's actually on the pain in the ass side.
And it is not that good for the mind subconsciously.
It´s like let the folks fuK their brains off & not a support for a mighty journey.          https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden
