Personally, I can not dance to full on music. Too crazy for me. THe best dance music for me is the really groovy, butt shaking progressive sounds. The best example from 2001 would definetly be Ticon- We are the Mammoth Hunters. That track rocks me harder then any GMS or Talamasca track.

Guys, Guys, Guys.
I'm old, my bones are tired, and my blood is full of different shit.
When I listen to trance I want to be taken on a journy. something that is rythmical and that takes me away, hipnotises me and brings me to a state of trance. Minimal/progressive does it the best for me with the intricate precussion loops and the soft pads. what to do this is what I enjoy most (and play as a DJ) I understand people's need in full on, but I don't come to parties to run around and jump like a wildman, I did it b4 now i have different aims. oh and the best example for me for a true voyage set is the Moksha live at goaganj CD, a bit old but a true clasic.

Borris, way to go
I still run around, but as you said, this is the kind of music that hypnotizes you and takes you away... far way...

I enjoy Minimal a lot better when under influences of psychadelics or even just weed.
My point is it has a lot to do with drugs andor state of mind, because it can get u a lot further then full on because its not meant to get u to burn urself dancing, its meant to make u work ur brain. Thats why the party buildup is so beutifull - Night is veery individualistic - u dance with urself "digging" in ur own brain, and at the sunrise everyone joins together for a tribal freakout of energetic full on. =)

I just want music with some character. Stop BSing about minimal, full-on, GMS and Talamasca. I want power, I want emotion, I don't care how it's done, as long as it works for me at a party or is good to hear at home.

Auricular works for me, Spirallianz do too. Son Kite do some great stuff.

I don't like Ticon. I do not like Talamasca.

I just hear what works for me, and the definition is bigger than minimal/full-on. Stop making this conversation so complex. Everyone prefers what works for him, and that's it.
