That was a personal observation of mine (just like all the rest of my previous post) and i cant believe that Kane discovered an insult or racist comment in my words when i was talking about demographic facts (official facts by the way) and an observation on their music preferences.
The only retard thing in this topic Kane is you and everyone else who considers a racist whoever mentions the word "black" like its an insult or something.
Chinese, muslims and black people in their huge majority (among other ethnicities) dont listen to psy trance because its not among their music preferences for various reasons (from cultural to even religious reasons),not listening to psy trance is not an insult and i dont see why being black or chinese is an insult so how the heck someone who combines these two can create an insult out of them?My mom doesnt listen to psy trance does that mean that she is stupid or something too?
Next time Kane try to understand what other people say and imply before your reply to them.
By the way can you mention any chinese or african american artists cause i dont know any of them and this must prove something doesnt it?
P.S Chinese people are well known club music fans of any kind but they prefer more mainstream events due to their countries turn into capitalism.

My bandmate Jordan is from Kenya, is a homeboy and although he is not officially an artist (as of yet anyway, official releases in the next few months), he's been spinning trance tunes from Brasil to Greece, to Goa for more than a decade as a professional DJ.
Not implying you should know every single thing that goes on in psy-trance, but you should ease up on the know-it-all/I-know-Im-right-attitude.
I grew up watching MTV (I even remember its launch in Greece in the 80's), I like a lot of hip-hop music that includes people flashing their fame and fortune in front of a camera, but it does not mean I absolutely want to have a mansion full of half naked maids, dusting my crotch whilst I am drinking straight out of a bottle of Courvoisier XO (*)
And speaking about majorities is besides the point when we are talking about underground, niche scenes like psy-trance.
The scene it self is made up of minority groups.
(*) Just want to make absolutely clear that although I said I don't feel like I HAVE to pursue that kind of life, I may not mind ending up living it http://soundcloud.com/martianarts

Official demographic facts? Gonna back that up at all? I don't see the logic in what you're saying..chinese, muslim, and black people don't listen to psytrance for cultural reasons? WHITE PEOPLE don't listen to psytrance for cultural and religious reasons just as much. Sorry, but saying that an entire race has "absolutely nothing to do with psy trance" IS a bit racist, and at the very least a misinformed sweeping statement.
You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

"plus the fact that 30% of the population belongs in ethnicities that have absolutely nothing to do with psy trance (like muslims, black people and the chinese for example) and you can see why psy trance isnt popular in the USA. ""
this is definitely a sweeping statement
so ur saying that Christians according to u have something to do with psy trance culturally? please enlighten me on this.
i didnt find ur comments racist but i just dont understand how communities who dont listen to psy trance have something with psy trance not being big in the US??

Pipe & Slippers i was specifically talking about artists and not djs because in the trance scene half people are djs one way or another.Greetings to Jordan by the way
By the way i didnt said or implied i know all about the USA matter,i just expressed my personal opinion,it seems though that some people pay too much attention on my opinion otherwise i dont understand why they get irritated when they shouldnt.
I also grew up watching MTV and i hope you remember that MTV 10-15 years ago had nothing to do with the MTV of our days simply because the music and the attitude that it promoted was way different than todays one.The bands and artists of those times (Roxette,Sade,Eurythmics,2Unlimited,Prodigy,Sting and even the super stars Madonna,MJ and Phil Collins) never promoted super duper money, mansions and cars like todays artists do especially the rnb ones.I mean they even had a chill out zone at nights and european charts countdown at weekends featuring individual countries artists which was great unlike today where they either play Beyonce or 50 Cent all the time.Dont confuse that MTV with todays MTV.
Oh and psy trance USED TO be made up mostly by minorities, not anymore since the scene has gone 100% commercial for various reasons including the development of the internet which made this music very very popular.
KANE my demographic numbers come from Wikipedia, what did you thought that i am pulling numbers and percentages out of my ass?
Just the black people in USA account for approximately 14-15% of the population and in my humble opinion black people in USA prefer other kinds of music like Hip Hop,Rap,RNB,Jazz,Soul and such stuff like they traditionally do for their own cultural reasons.By the way although i dont care about recent Hip Hop/Rap/RNB music i love jazz and sould music.Black people love 50 Cent and gangsta rap groups what the heck seems strange to you about that or why this has to sound insulting or something?
LOVENLIGHT Christians have nothing to do with psy trance culturally but also it doesnt directly or non directly prohibit you to listen to psy trance music like Muslism does for example by prohibiting the consumption of alcohol for example or women and men having fun and dancing together without seperated by burgas or strange clothes or whatever.Being a Muslim and listening to psy trance is very rare in our world and this lies to religious barriers set by the Muslim religion which is more strict i dare to say than the Christian religion.By the way before anyone accuses me about being religiously fanatic i would like to inform you that i am a Religious Agnostic.
In any case i believe that Chinese people,Muslims and black people are not very likely to prefer psy trance than other kinds of music for a million of reasons (including the fact that electronic music was invented and developed in Europe while African and Asian countries prefer more traditional instruments) and i cant see how someone can argue about that.

the majority is open to it and loving it?
ps: i am a muslim and dont wear strange clothes!!
now that statement i find deeply offensive!

Lovenlight i would like to inform you that my knowledge about USA comes not from american media but from my 10-11 visits to USA since 1993 and the four years i have spend living there in total during these visits including the time i spend in NYU attending sociology and international business courses for my major. The only "news" i got from american media were those of Spice Channel and the Pay Per View Wrestling Events.
And because for some unknown reason people in this site today get offended with simple words like "black people" and "strange clothes" i am not going to continue this discussion and allow all of you to have your opinion and me to have my own.
P.S Seems that this forum has become very serious for me after a decade around this place.

im going to try n stay on topic here without taking any of ur comments personally.
my confusion in ur statement is still from why u think that 30% of the minority who ever they might be are one of the reasons psy trance is not big inn the usa....
if u could clarify that..great..if not then lets drink some Courvoisier and move on
ps: its not abt serious or not..its about stating things that make no sense.
love,
