Why is green better than red?
green is much more calm and peacefull and it gives more association with grass and nature while red gets you angry and psychotic and gives you associations with nazis and stalin and menstruation. isn't it obvious ?

RED IS THE BEST POKEMON GAME WHILE GREEN WAS STUPID BECAUSE OF VENUSAUR.
On-T: It compares i guess, if you want a heavy PHAT beat it could really work well with a low bpm

I said I like it dirty, not muddy.

I actualy do not see this relation but ok...red is a warning colour..like ALARM..while green is pretty peaceful right...
it has nothing to do with the topic since its a ridiculous task anyway...but is actually the same question imo...
personally i prefer blue over yellow

TimeTraveller you seem like more of a listener than a dancer am I right? (the fact that you don't like other types of dance music points to this)
Not really,a good party for me is when I danced atleast the half of it nonstop.Or from sum point to the last maybe. But its been a long time since it happened last time.
..with hardstyle I mean only hardstyle..GAbba is not my cup of tea but I convinced myself during fuck parade in berlin whre we performed on one truck before a gabba one and after some hippy 70s truck that some pieces are ultrapsychedelic and deep (gabba).
As the trucks where standing I walked and had an intense listen to their music for maybe an almost an hour, and recogned that theunderground gabba has not much in common with thunderdome or sth similar hehe lots of multilayered patterns were flying and a few acid elements to my impression.
Though I still dont like those kicks and this kind of aggresivness.Prefere still psytrance in electronic music genres. But nothing beats the psycedelic Future Sound Of London to me.
--last but not least - I love music ,all kind of music but good music imo.
I like classical, some hip hop some psytrance. Now I prefer again drum and bass, sure flamenco wave will arrive soon.I love classical indian music, jazz, drum and bass, european classical music, flower power and what not..Even lots commercial music like leny kravitz or timbaland productions.NOpe I for sure do not like psytrance only.
..I think you took my phrase with the distance/ my best friend - too literary.However.
Peace and love

What came to my mind. I don't think low bpm is better tho, just a little bit more versatile... if thats even the word.
what if u live faster? then slow music will be REALLLY slow xDDD kiddin
hmmmmmm 240 bpm music can be good........ 30 bpm music can be good.... 100-180 music can be shitty..... i mean, almost all of world music is between 100-180 and more then 75% of it sucks...... BPM has nothing to do with quality I want a spare brain.... or 2.

It does.
It's easier to confuse listeners with 180 BPM kick-perc and a wall of fast-flying tzwick-tzwack. So, they don't realize that the track was hacked together in an hour. Hence, tons of half-baked killargh "darkpsy" tracks (having very little to do with real darkpsy, BTW). It's not as easy to pull this off at 130 BPM.

if u say bpm has something to do with quality u need to spend more time explorin the eletronic world.....
and to be more specific in psytrance scene.. u can get masterpieces in both areas... exemple...
atmos - headcleaner ( low bpm )
kindzadza - waves of inner space ( high bpm )
.... you may not like atmos if u like high bpm and u may not like kindzadza if u like low bpm BUT if u analyze those cds with NEUTRAL eyes and with TIME ... u ll see that both cd has TONS OF QUALITIES... quality which will be very hard to beat.... those albums will live forever ....

I never said that there are no quality tracks in high tempos. Nor did I say that all low-tempo tracks are timeless masterpieces.
I said that it's easier to mask sloppy work in a high-tempo track than in a low-tempo track. Just like it's easier to confuse a listener with doubletalk if you talk very fast.
P.S. If you don't know what doubletalk is, just head to the nearest used car dealership. Or go to a political pep rally.

Heh...reminds me of going to darkpsy parties where the DJ is train wrecking the fuck out of two tracks but the dancefloor doesn't even notice because its such chaotic noise in the first place
