Why is it that the "edit button" only works for a few minutes..

It's rather annoying to spot engrish/typos and not being able to do anything about it..

yea..it wouldnt hurt to hold on for a while longer than it already is..helps to clear out the mistakes in the original post...
but sometimes it can be pretty useful too..for example if a party is planned and posted about...usually the first post is where people usually look and take the info abt the location entry etc...and if there is a change it can be immediatly done so...instead of having to open 2 threads for the same topic.....
but then there are 2 sides of the coin..there r ways the edit thing also mite get manipulated...better not mention my evil plans now itself

edit button available during 30 minutes after post.
So, you have 30 minutes to read your post and correct mistakes....
in case of promoted party, that should be updated -
moderators will help you... |

hehhe makes sense to me Trav,
I think that the reason for it beaing available is so one can re-edit the post just in case there are spelling mistakes or if you change your mind on any comment you posted.Sometimes when you are angry and upset you we say things we wish we never said them so that helps if you change your mind.
Why only few minutes:
I think it's so one cannot re-edit his post after sometime saying for example "But I never said that what are you talking about"
That's why you have to:
READ BEFORE YOU THINK & THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK.
P.S:
Can I become a moderator now  ?
