This is very surprising to me... These Hindu images have been used in the goa scene all since the beginning...
For sure, night time music have been there before. But parties with focus on full power darkpsy, its something new again...... And its all about peace and love.

Moki, this is an international forum with many Indian brothers and sisters as members. Alot of them are 'hindu' (myself included). For hundreds of years we have had to put up with distortions about the religion/way of life termed as hinduism. I take it you know what the word 'hindu' means? Translated it reads:
Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.
If you are so interested in the Hindu religion, then please listen to and respect those who follow this particular path, and have done so all their lives. Think before you type.
There has always been 'dark' psychedelic trance in our beloved scene. Some of us used to refer to it as night time music once upon a time. The only thing 'dark' about it was the setting. Sure it's not all about love and peace, but for the sake of intelligent people everywhere, respect others' opinions even if you don't agree with them, in a polite way

i am not so interested in the hindu religion anymore but thanks for the advice. i was only interested in order to have some more knowledge about the world outside but not more interested than in any other culture or any scientifical field. i dont believe that religions have anything to do with monopoly of the culture they are situated. i think they are knowledge for everyone. i find it simply rude from the beginning to the end. i am fucking joking with you here, dont write any serious things since quite a long time. and no, i am definitely totally different from the concepts of goa gil, he has his own, i have totally different. i didnt even enjoy it so much at the kumbha mela, it was not so nice for me and it was very repressing and depressing. it was a sect. i just dont like religions and pyramids and old fashioned approaches. i dont go to church too. dont pay taxes too. have my own church. i am not gonna lose time with the statements above cause it makes no sense anymore. too much hate people. no one can make me respect something that i cant respect. even goa gil btw. i would respect ppl following the path all their live long but these ppl here are definitely not. and i am happy that i have aquiantances with such ppl who have done it for 40 years, which is more important to me. you ppl have so much aggression that i would suggest you find the proper doctor or the proper sexual partner and get out of my topic. kiddin. stay wherever you want. haha.
why should respect ppls opinions if they dont respect mine. i dont see the point. but anyway, it is useless to even discuss it.

and btw i dont even wanna discuss the hindu religion so much any more. i find it boring. why should it always be the centre of all discussions. dont get it. i lost all my respect for the indian community through this forum, exept of course my favourite dark recs but actually it is pity for you to be so negative:). hope not to come accross you too muc in the future though. and i have my job even if it is not every day job so i suggest you fucking get out of my life with your boring advises. buah what a fundamentalist discussion. always the hindu religion bla bla bla. who cares so much about it actually? we even disappeared from goa.
p.s. ah yes, and btw i dont even mention so much the religion in the essay just some symbols used in the decos and covers and names of tracks. why dont you guys found a religious forum finally? buah. really very unpleasant with you. |

Religion is the foundation of most the small and large cultures that formed what we now know as the human species.
I don't believe in a religion in such, but I have found my own faith in it's own form, and I do not believe youor anybody has the right to say such comments about religion and culture because it is just laughable to say such a thing.
Am sure many of catholic, jewish, hindu, islamic and even the shamanic forest tribes would completely disagree with you.
but no doub my comments in your opinion are stupid and irrelevant and I should just STFU because I supported Colin OOOD who you took a dislike to or whatever.

all this namaha statements and tantrumm statements, this is just your fundamental religious discussion that is going on in every topic now and is btw even for me boring and i think i am one of the few here who are a little bit more interested in religions than many others. india is not the center of the world and so is the hindu religion. yoo stil didnt state why the facts are wrong. shiva is not destroyer? kali not dark? well, anyway let me write for my fellow travellers from europe then. i think they get fucking much more from what i write. sorry but you indian guys are not so interesting with your religious preach either. who cares. and if you want, then start another topic where you fucking write some more pages about your one and only religion.

Just wanna say never liked the use and exploitation of these symbols right from 15 years ago when I first found this scene.
Some times it as done with the right amountof respect but more often than not they were used as a marketing tool, and it has actually been nice to see a change away from these symbold over the last few years.
Religion is a very very touchy thing, and the use of symbols of gods should only be done with the utmost respect.
There is much we do not know about our universe and what is beyond so to use these things so lightly can have serious ramifications.

Hindu images have been used in the psychedelic scene since at least the 60's (Axis Bold as Love album for one). Peace and Love is fine, but you need the Unity and Respect as well

As a teacher, I would say that the proper way to deal with this kind of ignorance, impoliteness and profanity is to have the pupil sent to the principal's office. I'm just wondering where the principal is because this sombre show has been going on for too long now.
