i saw many DJ's connecting the crowd with god
maybe they dont have fancy indian titles to argue about , but they are the voice of allmighty.. you dont have to be covered with ash and have ohm sign on your forehead to become spiritual.
if you only dance in this acts you missed the point.. it can take you higher..
and thats the case with gil i supose , but for some reason people care more about the title someone here decided to tag him with.
evryone i know that been in india comes back with words like 'baba' 'shanti' 'ohm' 'mantra' 'moksha''ganges' 'kumbah mela' 'shiva' etc.
this doesnt meen nothing.. person can be enlighten without visit india once in his life too...

oh really , was 2001 or 02 , discovalley , last gil patty i went for in goa , he played gms - midnight sun on sunrise .. hehe good stuff  , a crap party in delhi very long ago also , dunno who did it .. very cheap crowd there
and moki , ok then , but i didn't completely discredit gil for his thing so don`t make it like that , fine , gil is a sadhu .. once every few years for a few days

Who fuckin cares if hes a real sadhu or not he is one of the originators of the scene let him call himself whatever dj name he wants. did anyone here actually take into consideration that theres a certain type of aghori or some crap that do their 24 hour traditions? I saw this one guy on TV that would just roll around in circles till he got where he needed to be. He did it for 24 hours or more and it was some spritual jibber jabber i dont quite remember. Surely starting a goa scene and playing 24 hour psy sets can be as respectable as this. Oh and for you new age hippies this roll around in circles guy was a REAL indian from a REAL tribe or whatever and nobody wrote some naysaying posts about how he couldnt be a real aghori or sadhu or whatever u hippies wanna call it because he travels around the world rolling around in circles. Sure alot of people could play psy for 24 hours straight but are you going to want to? are you going to want to roll around in circles for 24 hours? surely there must be something more to this than saying "look at me im the guy that rolls around in circles for 24 hours straight pay me money".
And the idea that Goa Gil is some insanely profitable name and hes raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars off some sadhu image is just about the dumbest thing ive ever heard.

Maybe lil bit beside the point.
I guess nealy everybody has respect for Goa Gil.
The ones who criticised, were mostly criticising the way of how Moki.Time.Wave.Zero argumentated, rather then criticising Goa Gil (that`s how I remember the "discussion" at least, but don`t want to go through it again)

yeah i must say i felt abit like that too.
not that i have slightest idea about baba's or hindu titles , but whatever gil is , its nothing like that man. also with disclaimer , i dont know gil and what he done in his life.. maybe he rolled from goa to delhi once too..
the only thing that really bother me is that if you dont conect to it then you stuck with it 24 hours.. afraid to try. www.sattelbattle.com

"IT" is goa gil set. as spiritual people make out of it , its tracks , and by his top 10's , averege music.
so i think , becuase usualy to go out to a doof is big mission , what if you didnt like the set?? in normal event after 2 hours someone else will come and you will be happy , here if you not like it , then "dissconect" isnt going to my camp to have food or smoke and come back to the dancefloor , but actualy to pack and leave.
