background ! yes , a sadhu past , like back in the day he did indeed practice that way of life , when he was in the mountains and had actually renounced worldly pleasures etc .. but look , this is not a diploma or degree course that u do and get a stamped certificate for , he`s just a dj with a past .. not a sadhu , and he is definitely not a `naga baba` , lol .. those don`t wear clothes and cover themselves with ash .. basically moki , sadhu = renunciate , and he isn`t one ! not anymore anyway .

of course they wear clothes mk47. this is ridiculous. they cover their bodies with the holy ashes while they are around the duni, the holy fire. not all the time. there are some of them who fully renunciate everything, but those are in my opinion only very few . and all the rest are called saddhus anyway.
and btw if i see someone performing miracle things like for instance the usual practises that they have and that you can see in some documentaries about it: for instance levitating, or carry 400 kilo stones on their penis or other special things that you could witness on the Kumbha Mela, then i honestly dont fucking ask mysels if they fit the definitions. i just dont do it. and no matter if the very same saddhu will go to a girl one month after that and as far as i have seen some of them did. sorry but at some point this discussion really looks like people are being preconditioned whatever they say, it is just repeating the previous post, acting somewhat like sheep. i am sorry not to fit into this discussion but i really heavily disagree with anyone saying to me that i make fun of India by writing about my experiences on the Kumbha Mela or calling a westerner saddhu or fall commercializing the whole thing. and even if i respect Frias project very much ( i told her in private messages too that this is one of my favourite labels lately) but i dont accept that judgement. I think it is not honest, and i think all those judgements come from ego games.
And anyway there are numbers of indian naga babas who relatively often slip back into the worldly experience. They dont fit the definitions themselves anymore. And at the time while the whole scriptures were written there were not even cars or whatever, nowadays most of them use the modern things created by technology. Sorry but to deny this is just ridiculous!!!!!!!!! They do come to Kumbha Mela mostly on cars or trains. Very few walk for 6 months on foot as it could be some 1000 years ago. But people face it, it is 2008 now, the scriptures dont fit in the same extent as they used to!!!! They do use the modern products of the society. I am not talking about the hard core saddhus so to say, and again excuse me for my terms, that sit all the time in the mountains and hardly even come once in some years to visit the Kumbh.
So i think it is just not right to stick into definitions. Besides there are also lots of other definitions about saddhus about the four stages of life,
1) The dedicated student
2) The family man
3) The retired 'Forest Dweller', meditating in a remote area with his wife
4) The travelling ascetic Sadhu, with no family connections
and as far as i know we are all just humans here who have reincarnated in order to learn on this earth. otherwise they are people like jesus or whatever who are here only by means of the cosmic powers, sent by God . by the way i was seduced many times to start an off topic that jesus also had a wife although deleted in the scriptures but with the nowadays facts it is almost sure that he did have love with maria magdalina. so you can say fuck off to the whole christianity too. and actually then may be there werent any over humans on the earth anytime? it is all just a fucking simple story that was created in order to pay taxes to the church? whatever.
to be honest, i wanted to describe the real things that i have seen on kumbha mela, the hierarchy and any other thing that i am critical towards but i guess then another couple of hundreds will come and say stop making fun of india. and besides i dont want to abuse in any way the Goa Gil thing with which i am now anyway connected at least by doing the video and writing " the modern saddhu" as a title of the video.
may be i will do express my critical point one day though cause we may be shoud realize that the traditions change in the age of aquarius. we will all change in the next few years more than anyone from us can imagine. the religions according to me will fail, all of them and be recreated, this is what i think. they just dont fit. dont fit even among the nowadays saddhus either.

I have attended Goa Gill's Performance at least 5 times,although I have never attended the "redefining the Ancient ritual in the 21th century" party till now(i was about to go at his Birthday party in Bulgaria in 2005 i think but me company liked Butterfly fest more so i missed the chance:( )
but from my personal experience, i always had lots of fun at his parties-gigs
killer figure on stage and killer music selection and overall killer parties
intense music,the structure of his set is killer-shanti shanti to power electronics and then Hi-nrg-
fresh tunes,all the tribe at his parties-uplifters,psyfreaks,curious people all in the best mood....
overall,Never a bad trip with Goa Gil:)
ps.i have my own doubts for the Nommos project but as long as its good music and as long as noone claims that Goa gill ripped his music
i dont have a problem at all

yeah this party in bulgaria was a very special one....
one of the facts that could simply make all the theories here ridiculous ( about the pampering in 5 stars hotels). cause he slept in much worse conditions there.....
and this is actually what really makes me agressive, which is probably not the best thing to do, but in the meanwhile i notices that sometimes you have to talk agressive , exactly like the naga babas themselves shout at particular cases to the intruders. i am sorry if i hurt anyone by using too much f's.
but i find it really totally ridiculous especially in this thread that i hear people talking so much about something that they never seen. and with all my respect to mother india, but it is funny that some freaks from india do judge here like the hell of a professor, but never ever went to the kumbha mela in their whole life, not even once in their whole life in india. but they know so much about it though. it is ridiculous, and even if i let myself look defeated for the good of the community, and the good ot master psykovsky, i should tell you that i havent changed a bit my philosophy of life in this thread. for me he stays a modern saddhu. i haent seen not even one argument that strikes my own difinitions of life. not even one.
