Why does "progressive" have to mean "slow and soft"

and at the topic, progressive trance is not slow and soft... just try to look a bit deeper into the sounds.. and try older music it wont keep you dissapointed for sure

progressive trance is slow but it doesnt make it soft
the hardness of the music isnt the speed
its the sound and the effects
137-142 is fast
try to look for the 130-136 tracks
its much harder than the faster ones

while we are on the subject... the first 2 Ticon albums, first Vibrasphere, the first 2 Son Kite albums, and to a lesser extent the first Antix album, all share a similar kind of spirit that i always seem to come back too. truly masterpieces in their own way. if someone can recommend anything along those lines, preferable something less obvious that's easier to overlook, that would be appreciated. |

However it is both slow (all the tracks I've found so far are 142 or lower) and somewhat minimal-sounding, which is exactly what I'm NOT looking for.
Basically what I'm looking for is music that has the energy and feeling of "normal" psytrance (and is about the same speed!) but has the progressive structure. |

If something has progressive structure, it is progressive, regardless of speed/minimalness/whatever.
"progressive" when used with dance music is a term that refers to the way the song is structured, and is not to be confused with "progressive" as used with other kinds of music, which means "forward-looking" and is a comment on style. |
