Why does the sound sometime get panned when eq`ing on it ? Is there a good way to eq for changing low and high freq´s etc , dips etc without getting the panning effect on the sound ?

pan when equ'ing ?

well, it's maybe because the frequency you try to cut is located more on one side (L) than on the other (R)

most waves plugins come both mono and stereo. I think you are using mono plugin as makus said. If you have the Mono plugin you have also the Stereo one.           http://soundcloud.com/magimix-1/chilling-forest-whispers

Spot on ,i checked it out yesterday and i could see that my EQ was in mono version, i never thought it could be that, i have just been throwing on the regular waves eq without really thinking about that it was mono.I saw that i also have stereo versions but that i have been using mono.Never thought about this scenario.

Thanks : )

How come the mono EQ creates the panning changes when on a stereo channel and not the stereo EQ ?

I also saw that i have been using this mono EQ version in much stuff, and its not always i have heard the pannning effect, just sometimes, if it sounds ok without any panning or strange stuff do i really need to change to the stereo EQ version.

From now on i will choose the stereo eq , but i was thinking on old tracks, how important is it to change the mono EQ to stereo if it sounds ok ?

The mono EQ will treat only one channel (the left one I think) and let the other one unchanged.

That's why you were thinking that it affects the panning: if you boost or cut frequencies on one side only, then you'll have that "panning" effect.

So be careful when using waves mono or m/s (mid/side) plugins: they will not do the same thing as stereo effects

Ok i understand, then i have to switch all old mono eq`s, i mean, just having eq effect on one side and the other not does not seems so good .

Good that i found this out though.

Meticulous care would be taken to preserve and clean the chillums, which would in
essence be religious sacred objects to some. The slide from freedom to religious dogma
dominated by powerful individuals would quickly take down the lively spirit of the
culture. Holding on to mysticism and refusal to take the music at face-value was a turnoff
for others."
