why do open air parties get busted ?

1) not paying the pigs.
2) noize pollution
3) egos
4) press gets mileage
5) firangi cultural invasion
6) vitamins not yet licensed in use
7) no money for organizers
8) lack of networking among ravers
9) not treated as a cult and holy ritual
10) labelled as a gathering of freaks
11) teenage and school dropouts higher among ravers or mini ravers
12) lack of talent
basically why are outdoor gigs a taboo....if u can have rock shows , pujas and other outdoor gigs why not psy gigs....is it wrong vs right or immoral ......well maybe in 10 years it will be legal or maybe not but i still am not sure why and how can indoor parties be better or how in enclosed areas it will stop usage or misuse of banned vitamins.....or is it the noize .....maybe the population has become so so much that there are no free vacant noize free zones to have gigs....anyway i hope this thing tht inspires my very existence and has had given me a lot of life...doesn't fade away!!

Well Bro Serioulsly u stated most of the reasons one can imagine, I can add that this shit happens only in India..Those who dont understand it gives a #### to the Vibe..May be We have not been able to conjure up a big, secure enuf, more reliable network to endeavour for such parties( i mean ppl who are willing to put individual efforts)
Quite Few Have the Courage to take the risks involved here in India, Still the good work is on, may be not as most of us would expect it to be..Its getting Commercial and more of a money making business .. Rich is getting Richer and Poor Poorer... My point is we need to harmonize the vibe, Bring all together...for a common interest. Am sure the day is not far when Open Air will be in the Air..Parties are not as like they used to be..but vibes are still the same.. and everyone has a differemt definition for happiness...

agreed. I keep saying it, dont post serious outdoor party info here. Pigs are everywhere in this forum im sure about it. And seriously, the best crowd will show up through word of mouth, the parties will have a better vibe. You post party information here not only will pigs come and can your scene, but chutias of all sorts will show up for the party as well. KEEP IT UNDERGROUND, throw the parties far far away. And tell ppl to stop sending party info by sms, who knows who the fuck those sms messages are forwarded to?? It will always have a bad rep for the d's. So no choice but to keep it underground and low key.

At a micro level, outdoor scenes are illegal because loudspeakers are usually not allowed after 10-11 pm. Rockshows, dandiya nights, poojas etc don't go beyond 11-12 in the night. (this might vary fro city to city ofcourse) and our psy parties are usually on through the night till morning maybe even afternoon.
At a Macro level, i think its the vitamins that raises the biggest issue.. the firangi cultural invasion is also related to the vitamin mafia. What we dont realise is that the scene goes much deeper. The pigs dont want a slice of the mango anymore, but the whole tree itself.
Private parties is the way out

All you need is someone really really connected... someone untouchable... to take responsibility of building our scene and involving himself step by step. Only that pied piper can lead us back to the forests in the safest manner.
Like the Wadia parties. Who ever dared to trouble these India Giants...
and at the same time... things need to be kept more hush hush.

why do we have this problem in india? In european countries it is not a problem to visit legal open air parties....

because in Europe and other countries they dont have the media giving it so much damn attention! I think you should just forget about huge, outdoor open air festival type events in india. It's nice having small underground outdoor parties, and its been happening in India for so long that way, why should it ever change?
In other countries they probably dont bust parties because for the police over there the cost outweighs the benefit. Busting a party or festival to find really such small amounts of d's is really nothing to be proud of. Plus ppl in Europe and all will make a big deal of their rights being violated, and then take it to court. |

Just give me one reason if the scene indoor/outdoor is clean, clean and again clean. The authorities are informed the gig is promoted legally. Why it should be busted? It would'nt.
Just chill out somewhere else and enjoy the gig outdoor/indoor. This will really boost the moral of organiser's. Also, then why we should be underground. There should be no reason. Above all even we should'nt take undue advantage of 'freedom'
