WTF?! stupid question in my opinion mate..! Do you care when someone else leaves the party? God is a dj.. but djs are not Gods, they re humans. They get tired/bored also! And i think more than you! Your day before the party (ok not always maybe...) goes something like this... You wake up, you eat, maybe go for a walk, you chill with friends, you take a shower and you go at the party lets say at 1-2 o'clock. You re ready and full of energy to dance! The dj/artist (as a lot of them already told) maybe are awaken from the previous day to catch their flights. They came directly (most times) to the party without eat with no shower (and after a long travel it suxx to be 'un-showered'), tired from maybe previous events (which the same thing happened...) and they play giving (i hope ) the best of their self, so you the 'un-tired' to dance the supa dupa dancefloor killa trax!
And lets do a hypothesis. Lets forget all that. Assume that the dj after his set comes down and dances. What is the so importand to that for you?
boom.-

i think your idealism is getting in the way of seeing what that person maybe went through to get there...
Don't judge unless you know.
We don't get to sleep that often you know.
also- usually the one playing after the headliner from somewhere else is a local playing last years tracks we all already heard these tracks 500 million times.
best try to understand before you judge...
thanks

I've seen the expressions on alot of artists face .. just come down.. play there set and leave as if they kinda 'got over what they were paid to do tonight' kinds. Its no different with the DJ's either. As far as i've seen they kinda seperate themselves from the crowd. Maybe they think they are WAY above us or maybe they've lost the raving spirit. Who knows.
Saddening sometimes.

| Well yes I would probably agree with you when someones just lands in a certain country after say a 20 hr flight and has to play the very same night, i'd die to hit the sack too, but they've been many who come days in advance not playing anywhere, play their set and leave. So i'm not speaking of something I dont know. Ultimately its your choice and maybe we dont need to know the reason behind it. If you're proud then you are.. or if you're sleepy then you're just plain sleepy. Peace.

I don't care if the Dj or artist leaves the party after his set, he is free to do whatever he feels like, i won't judge him on that. he might have his reasons to do so and i respect that.

Thats your opinion mate....
You guys are talking about sleepless night....I can agree on that.....But no food to eat....Its all bull shit....Dont they serve food during ur flight....they do right....
Feeling sleepy or tired is understood.....after a long journey....
but if you look at an international artist coming down to play....the organisers usually book up a house for them to chill out...and catch up with some sleep...and dont tell me about no food in the hotel or in the party....there a whole lot of food in the party as well......
An artist usually come out of his room at the time of his set......
We too on the other hand have sleepless nights and come for the party......working 10 hours and then directly for the party....
I thing the explaination you giving is a lame one....
Totally agree with Bloodclot.....on that...try to understand and then judge.... |

I am sorry are you an artist or a DJ with international gigs? Read what i wrote earlier again! I have been an international artists and DJ in this scene since 1994. I do think I know a little more about what it's like to travel around the globe and play than you do
Just stop all the whining and dance. Who freaking care if it's an artist or a local music lover standing next to you on a dance floor.
This scene is full of spoiled annoyed groupie's.. it's sad to see that some cant stop complain about the artists and DJ's. |

lame or not.. this is the situation my friend... and you didnt answer.. whats the so important for a dj to come down and dance?! If you thing that is important you re turning the dj to a "star". And then you complain about "star" attitude! Your words are canceling your words..
and i agree on that with HandA.. stop whining and dance...

My dear freind....I am ignoring your position neither do I want to critize any DJ or Artist....you guys are best at your jobs & you guys know your stuff......
YES Agree to you on that one as well " Who freaking care if it's an artist or a local music lover standing next to you on a dance floor"
About the statement you made...."This scene is full of spoiled annoyed groupie's"...its the wat you look at things.....If thats your veiw....and you think it right....then everyone who blames the dj or the artist....I think think their view is also correct.....
I think your views are based on experiences.......
Same you go for everybody...if they have ever had a bad experience they would talk about it......
And to answer......Mr Drunken Monk.....
Its not at all imp for me to be standing next to a dj or artist or dancing next to them.....neither do I care.....about it...
I go into a party not for the Artist but for his music......I enjoy the party and back home.....that what i do.....
The reason i put it up was not to argue about their attitude......or EGO....
The dj or artist do it...because its a matter of choice......
And Yes....My choice is very imp for me , so is theirs.....
The think i wanted to get to.."Is it choice or is it sitiuations......"

u go to a party to do what u want and they go to do what they want
they finish doing what they have been called for and then its their choice wether to hang around the party or go home or elsewhere
its their life let them do what they want to
