I don’t think that Ron means it ...maybe the guy don’t enjoy that specific artist and not every other artist...Correct me if i'm wrong...

But it's kind of sad to hear that some of the artists don’t really enjoy to spend some time at a party...they are there exclusive for the money...really sad...

I saw one guy (witch I prefer not to name) complaining with the other guy witch was playing before him (Skulptor) because he had to go home and Skulptor was playing for hours… I would prefer to listening few more minutes to Skulptor - Live Act rather than five hours set from the other guy…

Peace

i dont think this is whats up man-
i think your idealism is getting in the way of seeing what that person maybe went through to get there...
Don't judge unless you know.
We don't get to sleep that often you know.
also- usually the one playing after the headliner from somewhere else is a local playing last years tracks we all already heard these tracks 500 million times.
best try to understand before you judge...
thanks

I've seen the expressions on alot of artists face .. just come down.. play there set and leave as if they kinda 'got over what they were paid to do tonight' kinds. Its no different with the DJ's either. As far as i've seen they kinda seperate themselves from the crowd. Maybe they think they are WAY above us or maybe they've lost the raving spirit. Who knows.
Saddening sometimes.

Would you not like the other dj's & Artists dancing to your tunes.....yes anybody would....?
If you happen to move off...It would be really disappointing for a dj who is playing his set.....

think about it..with thta point of view....

There have been many occasions where I have hung out on the floor and danced to whoever was playing both before and after me, but there have also been times where I just wanna take my gear, put it somewhere safe, crack open a beer and smoke a fatty before I rejoin the party. Please take into consideration that presenting music, whether it's your own or others can be just as emotionally draining on the presentor as it can be physically on the presentee. And once you've finished that task, maybe you wanna chill and catch your breath for a little while before going back to the pounding...

We won't even get into how long it took for you to get to the event or when the last time you slept or had a shower was... We are human just like everyone else and when you're tired or just wanna take a break for a little bit, you should be able to do so.

There have been times where I might not like all the music that's being played at a party that I am at (Whether I am playing or not) and as such like any dancer who is particular about the music that makes them move, if we encounter something that we're not all that into we probably won't dance to it... It's not that I only dance to my own music, it's just there is some music out there that doesn't make me want to dance.... Is there anything wrong with that?           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Yes I agree with you.. PLUS, being an artist you develop certain tastes and also you know how most of the things in the track are done... Id say that to get me dancing hard it must be either:

1) a hell of a great track
2) a old one that brings you nice memorys
3) a great event with nice people

I reckon if you saw a dj finish his set then jump down from the stage and start going mental on the dance floor you would be so shocked he would never do it again or at least never get booked again. It seems people only look up to people who treat them with contempt. Excuse the huge generalisation please I refer to the masses. Many times djs sneek round the back for a boogy, but yeah I've never seen one goijng for it large, always so reserved. One day I will play out, even if I have to fake my own death to do it.
