no seriously, i had a period, where i was thinking a lot about the possibility that the dark forces (or how should i call the whole bunch of illuminati, freemasons, world federal bank gruppies and people who a are drinking their coffee with an alien in the backyard) actually did notice the potential of the trance tribe . and what if they started to react with psychotronic weapons and harp frequencies on the backdoor of the administrators of the biggest trance communities, sending waves of chaos in their heads and manipulating them, so that at the end all collapses in the fastest way possible. i used to think very seriously on that question. nowadays, i believe, it is all a self fulfilling prophecy. if i start to believe and to fear and to bunker some rise and lense for the days to come when the system collapses, then i have done the worst thing possible. i gave up.

National debt is rising. Most of the money owed, is just numbers on computers. That money does not exist.
World economy is going to collapse, then we'll have WW3 and whatever is left from the human race, will start over again, hopefully a society that is not based on money.

Haha Moki =) And there is something very important to be noticed about the self fulfilling prophecy and how humans tend to plan for how things will happen. And the truth must be as the inventors that we are that we truly can make things happen, on many levels. So its both our strength and our weakness

All this talk about prophecy strikes me more as a prediction based on experience, for example, when i did like that it became like this, so logic tells me that if i do the same again, the same will happen, and we known civilizations has fallen and risen again, we know that the earth has been flooded and might be flooded again, we know there has been a iceage and it might come again..
things that happen in the mind is almost like the game of whisper, when it has passed through 10 people the original message has been distorted... haha im just tired!
I believe in a bright future if mankind take responsibility for their action, based on ages of experience! Still we live in a new time and what we have created wont show its effect for years to come, now this is where i think prediction comes to play. We can predict that oceans will be polluted cause we seen it in small lakes what happend when we used them as wastebaskets, still there is ongoing of this madness. And the only real reason is money! in other words peoples greed!
yeah its pretty easy to predict, or use eventuality when one use experience and knowledge of the past.

Alex, it’s always a pleasure to read your posts. 
Regarding your data on groups prone to conspiracy theories: your Southern neighbors beat any acid-drenched hippie every day of the week. I am yet to see a group more captured by conspiracy theories than natives of Northern Michigan. By “natives” I mean people who lived there for a few generations, farmers in particular. IMHO, it’s one of the reasons for the long-time strength of the Michigan Militia.
Also, I’d like to comment on the link between conspiracy theories and sloppy reasoning. Although in general I agree with you and Tina on this issue, there are cases where knowledge and understanding how certain things actually work will actually make you more accepting of some theories than rejecting them. The example of Federal Reserve is a very good illustration.
To the main topic question: I believe the reason here is that many psytrancers feel they are being deceived on a daily basis. Naturally, the question arises as to who is deceiving them. Conspiracy theories are just various answers to this question.

Well there has to be some kind of conspiracy-- that seems beyond obvious. It’s just a matter of how deep it all goes. But those in power surely lie to your face every day to hide some hidden agenda and it’s hard to argue against that. Like the Iraq war where the US gov pretended they were looking for weapons of mass destruction and wanted to bring democracy for the benefit of the people. Who believes that story? So isn’t that in itself already a conspiracy? Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed in that war. So what does that tell you about those running the show? Like if these people can murder children and hundreds of thousands of innocent people do you think they care about lying to your face and screwing you in every possible way to advance their agenda?
Or do you really think the pope and the vatican are concerned about your spirituality and salvation? How gullible can we be? These are really powerful organizations that have a huge control over things in the world.
And those who control the money can very much control the world, including control over the goverments and the laws. So if the Fed reserve is controlled by private banks that means that a bunch of corporations are in charge and the idea that gov is for the people is just an illusion that is fed to the people. Right?
I don’t know.. but its kind of hard to pretend that there is no conspiracy going on. Its like how stupid can we be?
Sure there are a lot of irrational conspiracies but just forget those.

I do understand science, not in a very deep way, but i do have proper education and do like to study everything i'm interested in... your argument of conspiratorial ppl being not enough into the information they believe is true to a certain degree only. There are some well educated peers, from politicians to electronic engineers into looking the truth of how things work.
There is controlled and controllers, those controlled shouldn't realize they are being manipulated by those who control... this has been like this for centuries but they are failing at it, look at the world around you everything is made for you to consume and consume and consume, this is no eventuality. |

Well, you probably know better than I do, that, in the past, parties were called 'acid tests'!! 
After my first few times on lsd at parties (3 years ago), for some period, I was thinking that the djs organize free parties in order to sell lsd and thus gain money.  
I'm not thinking this way for a long time now, as I have become more intergrated with the 'scene' and have a more thorough view on the people that involve in it.
Maybe it could also be this way because I don't trip too much now!
