I have heard a lot about peoplr that make their music with, cubase, sonar, logic,... But when their playing live, they use ableton. Why is that? What makes ableton more useful for live application?

its by all means not a necessity I used to do a live set in cubase and reason however it was not very live or fun for that matter and i had tons of stability issues. Live saved my life and its fun to boot. Maybe A better questoion is are there any alternatives that even compare? Meaning why not live? ITs like the "wheel" of live software it was invented and will get refined but nothing is better at being a wheel than a wheel is. One day the wheel will be obsolete when hover or magnetic resistance programs are invented but for now we are still exploring all the possibilites of wheels. then when science gives up on that they will invet something that isnt a wheel but its meant to replace the wheel and it will too.
sidenote ive also along with many others gotten into live for its live capabilities then ended up doing all production in it. At least for my creative needs and workflow Live has beaten the others. Plus operator makes effortless typical psy bass if you like that sorta thing and has some of the most texturized saws ive heard in a soft synth. very raw and uneffected sound.
Enough if i say any more i should be getting reimbursed by ableton.

It's called Ableton Live for a reason.
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

Simply put, that's what it's designed to do. All the DAW aspects of the program are stuff that's grandually been added to the program. And all the other DAWs you mentioned aren't really designed for live performance, but rather production. Apples and oranges. |

easier work and totally automation second per second,so its what almost all the people use in their live sets( when the are really live set, but could be just a set without nothing about live set..!! )) |

FL Live mode... not much diffrent from ableton at all specialy for real live looping and effects rather then dj set style (which u can do with decadance just as well even as plugin)
hmm maybe ableton got adventege if it can open 2 projects together and mix them? www.sattelbattle.com

I guess you don't have to want to actually mix two projects, since you probably like many project settings to be the same throughout the set, like controller assignments, tempo and send effects.
But you can load an .als on to the session grid, and it will place all the clips and channel specific effects with the same layout you used when you saved the clip, which is just what you need to mix different tracks split up into tracks and sections.

For me is about:
1. The SESSION view (not seen other program with a view as simple and intuitive, perfect for live performance).
2. Stability - never ever had a problem with it playing live or producing. It was made for this.
3. Possibilities of tweaking stuff "on the run" like warp, routing, etc. |
