Who will come to Southwest Virginia?

Hi, everybody,
My name is Herbivore. You probably don't know me. I live in the wee town of Blacksburg, Virginia, mainly famous for a big-ass university that's here and the fact that a bunch of people died under horrible circumstances here not long ago.
Anyway, I'm a trance DJ. (But who isn't?) Blacksburg has a 15-year history of electronic music events, and DJ parties of various sorts have always been easy to find here. House, "club" trance, and drum 'n' bass have all come and gone, loungy downtempo and dubstep are now kind of popular. Psytrance has yet to take hold here, though. I am trying to make that happen. There are a lot of people here who seem ready for it, and I think they'd go for it if given enough of a chance. I've done a few small trance events here with varying degrees of success. The crowds are small but energetic. I think the audience could grow with some time and effort.
The thing I need is DJs. I know some of the TOUCH Samadhi guys in Asheville and I've had them up here, which was awesome. But I need other DJs to put on the lineup to keep it varied.
That's where you come in.
I'd like to know who'd be interested in coming to Southwest Virginia to play trance. I can't promise you a big audience. I can't even promise to pay you much -- I will try to cover your gas and find you a place to crash. But the crowds are small and I want to keep the cover at the parties as low as I can, so if you're trying to make money from playing here, I can't help you. But you get that rare opportunity to be one of the first trance DJs somebody hears, and to help create something new.
They seem to enjoy fullon a lot. Dark/neuro is probably a bit beyond them at this point.

i live in Richmond VA and there's nothing going on here too, i've noticed tht some stuff goes down in Blacksburg...but they usually are 4 hour events....which is too short considering the drive i have to make for it...but i would if the events were longer......neways gud luk .. |
