well, there are songs wich are not recorded with metronome (dont know if it applies here).
or some songs got tempochanges (slow rush over time for example). this makes it hard...
i´ve had this problem onetime with a track i wanted to add drums to it. you have to ajust (stretch) the single parts of the track to the desired speed, make it in time...

logic has a nice feature where you can align audio tracks with tempo fluctuations to your beat.

the tempo detector on fl says its like between 50 -53 and i did tapping and its like 99 but again i dont think there was a click track when they recorded........it was 1965 .......so its hard to get it exact

as if you click-record today.
I prefer recording a band with their natural drive, without any clicks.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Use ableton in rewire mode...

Even if the beats are out of tempo which they might cause they are humans the audio is elastic and u can stretch and do whatever...
Ableton rocks for that type of stuff dude...           Visit me

bands that play with a lot of groove will always be difficult to fit to the grid that's why they're funky! and this song is very relaxed as well, with very minimal percussion.

i have a click track which dates from 1928... it's pretty precise as long as you keep it wound.
