G sonique drum kits pretty good. The kicks require a bit of tweaking on your end to get a punchy sound out of them, but they are definitely worth the little money your spending on them. Id go with that one. For "dark/forest" maybe use Foley sounds, or something different.

I don't think thats real is it? Their is nothing on the site for sale.

wikipedia quote: "Foley is the reproduction of everyday sounds for use in filmmaking.[1] These reproduced sounds can be anything from the swishing of clothing and footsteps to squeaky doors and breaking glass. The best Foley art is so well integrated into a film that it goes unnoticed by the audience.[1] It helps to create a sense of reality within a scene. Without these crucial background noises, movies feel unnaturally quiet and uncomfortable.
Foley artists look to recreate the realistic ambient sounds that the film portrays. The props and sets of a film do not react the same way acoustically as their real life counterparts.[1] Foley sounds are used to enhance the auditory experience of the movie. Foley can also be used to cover up unwanted sounds captured on the set of a movie during filming that might take away from the scene at hand, such as overflying airplanes or passing traffic.[1]
I think their are plenty of packs out there that feature this style of sounds. They're not a must, but I'll bet they definitely spice up a track pretty well, depending on how well you use them.

Apart from the kicks it's a really nice cd.
The kicksamples which come with the Nuborn bundle are quite nice though.

you all want to sound all the same using the same sample..imo dont bother buying stuff like this, use some 909 samples and process/layer them, that what they do and sell you... but at least you can process them like you want it according to your mix if you get them dry.
but i would rather synthetize my own drums for psytrance and maybe layer with some 909 .i think i will get a sh101 just for this . the amount of flexibilty when you make your own drums is insane, you wont need much processing at all (but much compression as software are far to give you the punch of a 909 )but you can get very intreseting drums. (attack is not super punchy with software i wanna try with a sh101 i expect more polished drums, more "real sounding"less fake, with software it can sound a bit like the cheap old digital drums machines it s funny )
in the old goa tunes you can hear lot of drums that sound like coming from synths ,in some tunes i dont hear any Tr or "drum machine like sample" and the drums are great.. that contribued not everyone sound the same imo |

Or yea, do what he says. I just didn't want to be that "synthesize your own" guy!

I always thought synthezising my own drums sounds too hard, but you convinced me to give it a try, so i will do that before i might buy a sample pack, and post back here with the results....
Many thanks for your help guys! |

i really like the nuborn psy midi & sample bank
i've made a typical psytrance loop within 10minutes - only using presets, midi clips & samples
i felt like a real pro producer
so give it a try if you also want to reach psytrancesuperstarheaven
or focus on your own style & have fun trying new things |

Ill make you whatever you like for like, 3 bucks less
But seriously, if you want, I will If you want em fully handmade i can even use single cycle analog waveforms
I dont really use much samples in my work, but I do like to make them And Renoise makes it STUPID easy.
Lol if you want loops quick I can render some drum lines from teh live set
But seriously, Im not joking I dont really have any uploaded examples, but if you give me a few minutes, I will

Sweet... mudpeople, I would love some stuff to work with. added you on fb and soundcloud.
Sorry the late response. I have been out of internet for some weeks.
I downloaded some samples from the g sonique pack and no more...
Tried the microtonic, but i seem to only getting the same sounding kick every time, to snappy.
sounds good for goa stuff maybe |
