for music Prod or Gaming go for AMD!!!!!!!
AMD64bit Opteron..
in 2007 they are releasing the QUAD core Opteron

the best CPU ever invented i tell you           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

theres no difference in stability and they are both priced equally uncompetively.(maybe amd is slightly cheaper)sometimes u get good deals on either.
anyway u get what u pay for.

dont buy yourself. ask a geek with dealer connections what theyd buy for a gaming machine. just dont bother with the graphics accelerator if ur budget is tight.
Gaming machines are made for realtime applications(applications that must b executed immediately and as quickly as possible. not like offline processing)And audio is a realtime application so a gaming machine is the best bet.

for the present time look no further than intel core2duo! its by far the fastest cpu around! desktop and mobile!

but iff u are in a budget and u are willing to sucrifice abit of performance for the sake of money AMD is ur choice!

the 2ghz is stronger for sure but its not that big difference from the 1.66ghz better take the 1.66 and more ram and a faster hd or a graphics card!
