haters gonna hate
now seriously. every music style has inovations which may not be well received by the oldschool fans. you can still listen to benga, skream and the likes, and simply ignore brostep. what's the real deal? is it because it's no longer underground?
and one thing I find unfair is the whole criticism arround him. yes you may not like his music, no problem, it's a matter of taste. but saying it's just noise, no soundwritting skills, over compressed badly produced music is complete bullshit. his really top-notch in all production skills and there's no denying it. This article should be required reading for a lot of people these days who think they like dubstep.
When he talks about the drop in Goat Stare, that is a fucking MASSIVE tune if it's played on a big system. The sparse shuffling drums make the single sub bassline hit so hard when it comes - but ONLY on a big system, and NOT when there is a ton of midrange to drown it out.
Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. ~Kurt Vonnegut
