It's a tough question, a painter was asking me the same thing the other day but for electronic music in general.
Is there anyone out there that reached the same level of genius and composition as Mozart, Bach & Beethoven?
It's unreasonable to compare two eras so far apart. We can try but the world has become so much more complex, the medium has become so much more infinite than just notation, piano, strings, orchestra.
hahahaha yeah that's a classic scene. I see the irony in it too.

yeah, agreed. I would also add to this list: para halu for his creativity and for the freestyle psytrance that he makes.
the weird thing is that sometimes even the genius musicians are not able to reach the public's taste... their idea, conception of music is so beyond their time that only few ones can really appreciate it.
that's the problem. make music for producers to listen? or music for the dancefloor??

yeah Psykovsky for sure, can't believe I didnt think of that earlier. He makes tempo his bitch.
Saw this guy in Minnesota a few years ago. Police came and shut down the party at like 4am, so we all just stood around until 7 when the noise curfew was lifted, then Psykovsky continued playing until like 11am. Madness.

I forgot to quote Talpa ! he has some serious wicked stuff... crazy melodies and arrangements, all his stuff is worth listening !
I think he is the closer that we can get to a classical composer in psytrance...

Haltya is one of the pioneers of Suomisaundi, very professional and full sounds, funky stuff. I always seek inspiration from him. Too bad he can't afford a studio these days so he isn't producing.
Also, Electrypose is a very good producer. Friendly and has a lot of templates and tunes up for remixing. Cool guy.
