Tristan is indeed very good - sadly I've heard he may not be able to DJ any more due to hearing damage caused by a kickboxing accident.
The other DJ's mentioned, don't get my vote, they never make me want to dance. Except for Mick Chaos, he KNOWS how to work a dance floor.
For real UK talent look at Spiney, Beardy, Vinney, Liela and a new name to watch for Leon. |

Jamie Robinson could be added here as well - heard a set of his at Wild Things which just rocked |

I love Kristian he played a very good set at the rex last time i heard him,Simo and Metaphase are good as well. |

I read the title of this topic and what I saw was the words "local DJ" so I thought we might hear about excellent dj's in various localities around the UK...so how about it?
Since I live in the West country I'll start with that local area:
My vote goes for DJ POD who is resident at the excellent Tribe of Frog psy parties usually happening monthly(approx) in Bristol. (He is also organizer/promoter/resident at hard trance night Ripsnorter in Bristol).
My reasons?
Most importantly he has a wealth of experience and knows how to properly build a set and hold the energy on the trancefloor. He's not afraid to play tracks that will challenge the audience and he interacts with and involves the dancers!
BTW, it's not that I disagree with comments about Kristian, Mick Chaos.....I DON'T! They are both excellent!!! Just thought it would be interesting to think about dj's local to particular areas as opposed to UK dj's as a whole!

I fully agree - Pod is a top DJ and always rocks the dancefloor - he plays in Sheffield quite a bit and has quickly become a fave up here - and as he's got so much expereince he does actually DJ and work a crowd as oppose to just playing one track after another - so yes - hurray for Pod! |

I know he guests at Planet Zogg in Sheffield quite regularly; haven't been to that nite myself, but I hear it rocks! Then again it would if Pod's playin!!!

I haven't heard all of the djs that play nowadays in London as I don't go to parties as often as I used to, but my vote would definitely go to Kristian.
Don't hope 2 much 4 something cause u may end up getting it... |
