About YULI and SUNTRIBAL, take it easy guys and not to personal side... If you guys don´t know me yet, nice to meet you, I am DJ in Brazil for the last 11 years and since 2005 I was invited to join TRIBAL VISION RECORDS, you might know it. You can check my myspace (www.myspace.com/guimilanidj) or even the site of Tribal Vision to know more about me.

Bro, I can assure you there is nothing personal here, and I don't need to go to your myspace to know you, you participate on this forum so often, that it's very hard to miss you lately. All I say, is when you promote one of your friends, say it's one of your friends, and you want his success. Obviously you are not very objective here. It's the same as if I start claiming that Ace Ventura or Liquid Soul is the best Psy Prog act in the world ( which makes much more sence btw heh ) but I won't do that firstly because I don't believe in "bests" but in ART of musicmaking, and secondly, because both of these guys are my personal friends and I try not to mess business with pleasure. Doing so is pretty lame IMO.

I am glad that you already know me.

But tell me, what can I do if the guy that I consider one of the best is my friend??? Or I have only one option: be his friend OR thnk he is one of the best? Duca for example is one of the best Prog/Tech House producers IN MY OPINION and also one of my best friends. Understand? So same happens to Ritmo, in the Prog Psy area. I am proud to be friend of the guys I admire the music, thats it.

Sorry again man, but I think you just have to say ''it´s ok Gui, if that´s your opinion I respect even not agreeing with you''.

And Ritmo IMO is one of the best indeed, together with Suntree, MUTe, Protonica, Quantize, Meander, Liquid Soul, Ace Ventura and others. If they are or not my friends, well, that´s another issue, but I don´t say this to get tunes, that´s where you did a mistake. (Usually some of them even send me tunes to ask my opinion if I like it or if I would change something etc.)

Anyways, let´s stop this discussion and try to have a healthy life? hehe

C ya!

And that statment didn't sound promotional at allll, come on!!. Yuli take some of my thoughs ever since I saw this topic at the first place, it sounds more as a friend or promotional opinion, base your criteria to say what you say are uncertain and without base and you let out this:

"And Ritmo IMO is one of the best indeed, together with Suntree, MUTe, Protonica, Quantize, Meander, Liquid Soul, Ace Ventura and others"

So ok is your opinion but best producer, can't be possible, sorry I don't eat that one, there is more artists better tha this guy and impossible to give a best "tag" even more in this particular scene.

1. It's taken from album reviews section, and no one there saying I am number one or two or three, or "best" or "worst", they just say what they say about the music in the album. Since it looks like it came out as a good album, different people reply to it...

It's little different to 2 same people chewing on the same mantra over and over again... Don't you agree?

2. Most of the reviewers I don't know personally, or maybe by the face.

3. I have 5 or 6 other albums, where the reviews were not so great btw, you are great at finding links so it seems, so you can search for them @ your free time.

4. Your post is basically "scoring" a golasso into your own team goal...

And last thing.. unlike you, I don't call people great friends of mine without actually meeting them first.. So very few from that 6 page list are great friends of mine.. in fact maybe one or 2..

Now I am definitely out..

PS: Sorry Dubi, it has nothing to do with you ( anyway there is no bad promotion, and we are on page 2 already ) but your "friends" sometime from good motivation do promote you in a little wrong way. Again - in my opinion.           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

with internet the word friend has taken a totally different meaning..you can call someone a friend only because you exchanged a couple of msgs on myspace or here..tell me,would you be a friend of ritmo or Duca or... if they weren't making this music?? you become a ''friend'' of them cause they make nice music and you want to spin their killer unreleased tracks so YOU can be a better dj and you pay off at the forums by saying they are the best...friendship..so maybe you do business together, but you are not friends.. this reminds me of an old rich guy surrounded by 20years old chicks, you get me that ring,i'll do you a nice blowjob, but again this is how it works all over,no?

On a related note, I have noticed various "Mutual-Dick-Sucking-Societies" on this forum that work by the law of "I suck your dick and then you suck my dick".

In other words, the same inwardly coherent groups of people hype each other releases, posts and DJ sets. This phenomenon is most prominent in the Promotional forum and even more so in the DJ set forum where it sometimes reaches the status of high comedy when the same people tell each other how great they are and praise each others sets that consist mostly of the same releases by the same labels (I have seen sets with upwards of 5 tracks from one single label, or others with 13 tracks put together from 3 or 4 labels). Usually these "reviews" are so drenched in hyperbole that the unsuspecting reader would think that the recording in question is a secret tape of the 5-year old Mozarts famous piano recital in front of Queen Maria-Theresia.

Anyways,I have been following this phenomenon for quite some time now and am getting good laughs out of it every time

PS: And about Ritmo, it sounds like standard Israeli Prog-On to me.

@aje.. I've been seen the same "phenomenon" in the lastest months and "Gui Milani" is involved in that cycle as well. I think that there is a 10000000 ways to promote an artist and sometimes it's better to give a straight feedback about the dj sets rather to say always that is a "killa" or "killer set bro", just sucking the ego. Anyhow still lame and very low. I'm also agree with your PS

@Suntribal.. let's called globalization, all the facebook, myspace, MSN, skype and so on are so impersonal media and for a dj is always easy to call a friend to anybody when you haven't seen it face to face but the killa unreleased sometimes is a harsh friend power to those djs .

I am an old friend of Yuli's and everyone knows it here.

I have never in all my years of interacting with trance artists, DJs and labels (more then a decade and hundreds of them), have met a more honest person then Yuli. He is someone who never ever ever asked for help from a friend in order to push and promote himself. On the contrary, he has often downplayed the importance of my reviews as he thinks I am biased (I totally disagree by the way, and stand behind my words). He has often turned down a business opportunity or a promotional avenue because he deemed them as not abiding with his high moral code.
Your comment does him grave injustice.

Just for the record.

I had no intentions to cause all this bollocks.
And to be honest (I can assure you I'm a 100% honest guy) I don't see any injustice at all, shahar.

This kind of Promo happens everywhere, to everyone in this forum.
That's my point. Any kid who has been here for months, know that.

And what's the big deal about it?
If they are my frineds, why not help them?

I help this forum in many (not to mention all) possible ways...
