SILENT SPHERE----WOW
ive never seen them live unfortunately which ive heard is transcendental but their tracks are gorgeous, they are one of the few artists of whom i think one could compose an entire dj set.
ein chadash tachat hashemesh. there is nothing new under the sun. --kohelet. |

Peaking Goddess Collective on the chill side, really amazing 5-piece live experience,
Electrypnose on the dark(er) side,
...still have to hear your set, Simon!!
Silent Sphere and Goma for the Full On,
and on the progressive vibe, the FKK Nervine crew is making a marvelous work |

ah ah! But is it psytrance?
The Young God is maybe one of the most amazing act in the world, that's for sure! Wonder if they would do a rave party if they were asked to... |

not psytrance for sure.. cause they are since always out of all fashion...
they are Young Gods.. they don't need to follow a fashion or a style ..
they create their own style. .
and never stop to experimente...
but they move slowly away from their original dark full on industrial style... to be always more ambiant ...
If you like their music: you have to know that they are also really good friends with Jeremy Narby (the writer of : "serpent cosmic" ... i don't know how the title of this book is translate in englīsh ??? maybe Cosmic snake ... amazing book that everybody that got interrest about shamanism have to read one time in his life ... !!! )
Anyway, Jeremy bring them several times in amazonia to have real experimentation on Ayahuaska, (some teachers from UNI, some scientists(nuclaear research, genetic, ...) came also with them and experiment also this holly drink... but if you want to know more... search "shaman" the new book of J. Narby & Uxley (oups .. i'm not sure how to spell his name...)
after several trip they released this year some music connected to their own ayahuasca experiences....
So all this to say that Young Gods are maybe not playing psy trance,... but for sure they are really psychedelic ;o)
and for you're question .. yes they already play in some raves..
When I did my first parties in Geneva in 95 Franz was their at each party dancing all night long ... then he stop coming .. cause too much fashion for him ...
But yes, Franz (leader of Young gods) played several time in some underground raves, ... he was doing ambiant set ....

Hi brousse
i hope you had fun at the v-so
I saw the Young Gods three years ago at the Paleo Festival, for sure one of the best concert i saw there... I swear that as soon as they finished their first track, on the very last note, an immense thunder came down from the sky and a big shower came on the festival site. On backstage, a journalist friend was interviewing brian molko from rock band placebo at the same time, and brian told him the most seriously as it happened: "Ah, the Young Gods have started their concert". The Y.G are for sure one of the most respected band in the world. I was not at all aware of their connection with Jeremy Narby... His Cosmic Serpent book was one of the few that changed my life.... wow... What is the album that relate their ayauasca experience??
You should invite them - not announced - to one Naturalp
Peace! |
