which waves are good combinations in the hour to produce a timbre?

I am starting to work with fm7 but I do not know which combinations of waves that if modulating a good timbre makes. If somebody will be able to inform some combinations to me, I is thankful |

fm7 is a very confusing synth imo. the had used it for some time and i just surfed through the presets and changed basic parameters like the envelope or the filters... because i realy couldnt understand so much parameters there!(additive synthesis?) anyway u realy can get very nice effects with this kind of work, there are also lots of fm7-presets in the internet u are able to find.
good luck..
but anyway there are so much killersynthies out there...spend ur time with stuff from dreamwork-studios or the "pentagon", this is more time-rentable imo.. |
