I can't spend too much.
I ordered the Komplete Synths (Pro53, Massive, FM8, and Absynth), but I had to cancel the order.
Now I'm rethinking what I should get.
I was thinking z3ta and Discovery v2. Or Albino3 and Alien303.
Which would be the best for Goa trance?
Thanks |

let me just tell you before you buy those softwares, that if you want to get a good sound, that would sound impressive today (it doesn't matter if youre doing goa trance) it would be hard for you to do it when you buy all the softwares. its really important to buy them, but you are in the trance world, where every artist got trilion of cracked plugins, and can open a really expensive plugin just for one sound or fx he is looking for, and with a limited budget it would be hard. just want you to know, that i was in a studio of one of the biggest trance artists , and maybe the biggest in the goa times, and they got it all cracked(and on the side a big rack with tons of expensive analog synths and fx).
its a good thing to buy them i just want you to know(though im sure you know it allready), cause you seem like a nice guy .. |

Try Before Buy.
just download the demo synths from each web-site then check them.
the one that you really like buy (or do other methods). there is no best synth, coz each one has its color/sound.
peace

Absynth, Massive, FM8, Albino and Toxic Biohazard are some of the ones I like, it really depends on what you're looking for and also which interface suits you best for your won workflow. I would also check out Spectrasonics Omnisphere!!!
Definitely try before you buy.

After re-installing Windows the only virtual synths that I have installed are Massive and Albino. Imho, more than enough for tweaking. Also, I installed UltraFocus and Trilogy. (can't call them "synths", more proper word should be "good sounding software for lazy guys" ;=)
I have two hardware synths and focus on them much more, though.
PS.
All mentioned stuff is very good (Alien303 is very good only for it's price) and definetely worth trying, just find what fits you and get it.

Or a second hand Nord 2x..
Otherwise: Massive, Albino, and Vanguard
Obviously try before you buy..
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

I'd get omnisphere ! its a beast... I just love it.
I'd also get sylenth1 this is real good stuff it sounds better than any other soft synth out there imo. its not to difficult to program and it sounds like an expensive hardware synth.
you'll be happy for bass lead fx ect...

I recommend NI massive. I just discovered it recently, definitely nice to work with it, good feeling, good sound, huge possibilities - but also massive CPU consumption.
FM8 and Linplug albino are also great... The free (!) U-He ZebraCM and Zebralette are very good as well (they are magware tho).
I worked a lot with Z3ta+ but now I think that the sound quality is inferior to the synths mentioned above. But it's cheap (60 EUR?) and has huge possibilities. And you can still get some nice sounds out of it.
Another idea would be to get a "real" 2nd / 3rd / 4th hand hardware synth like e.g. the (analog) alpha juno / mks 50 (Astral Projection...) for around 150 EUR. It's a completely different thing than software. Oldschool Goatrance was made with hardware-synths.

I'd really like to hear some of your tracks with evolver in it. Do you have any online?
I like the evolver's sound and concept but heard very different meanings about it's usablity / handling. What do you think about it? Is it easy / noce to program an to play with it?
Edit: Sorry for offtoping this thread, we'll come back to the topic soon
