I agree with Tasos-NOtrea, its not about surviving at all. The whole thing is about evolution. The psychedelic expression of electronic music will continue to evolve. We will always be able to see the connection with the past stages of evolution but it will have fresh elements and will follow new directions at each step.
Of course, the whole thing does not evolve at a fixed rate but it DOES evolve constantly (more or less like man himself).

You all predict things out of personal taste... That's not really the way to predict things - It's just as it says - Personal taste !
If I should come up with a predicition of what's going to "survive" I will have to say that I see the various styles merge more and more together into a mix of the best elements taken from each style.
But mark my words here. Progressive House/Tribal House, ambient and electro will keep on developing into it's own paths. And when it come to Full On vs. Progressive Trance I am 100% sure we will see a mix of those 2 genres pretty soon. They are getting more and more close each day when it come to bpm |

As long as its good music the style is irrelevant. Music evolution has no genres or boundaries. The only issue here is how open-minded people are.
Don't hope 2 much 4 something cause u may end up getting it... |
