Which Set Would You Play?

I have two sets i've put together for an upcoming party and can't decide which one I will play..one is ambientish (some ATOI, Carbon Based Lifeforms, etc) prettymuch beatless, and the other is psy-dub (Ott, Dub Trees, Omnimotion etc.) I'm playing as a warm up before the night starts..probablyy 8ish. Which would you rather hear at a small forest party before the regular acts start? |

both could work actually. For me, dub is more afternoon music for the mainfloor. So I'd go for the first one if i were you |

Are you burning the set off before hand? If not - why not take a selection of tunes and see what the mood is and go with it - though personally I'd have thought more upbeat stuff would better for early evening... |

Why don´t you just mix the 2 sets?..? Make the journey more around..

I can't play BOTH because my slot is only about an hour..each set is about an hour each.
So it has to be one or the other.

well, some nice dub would be a bettar warm up than beatless music... but it may also depend on the audience!

Personally I would take both sets with you and see what the mood is like. But if you really must decide - I'd go for the second one. Get the energy going... if you really are a warm up, you don't really want to chill them out too much do you? |

Id say to get the beat going on mate if its a warm up set...
Dont think it would be a good idea to play beatless ambient for a warm up,except you make it evolve from beatless death ambient to atmospheric ambient music with 4/4 beat; not possible though,you ve got only one hour
