So far... and very satisfied with it! But now I'm thinking aout changing to ableton live 'but still using FL) for several reasons (playing live, time stretch, hoping it will be less time consuming)

Hey no offense from me
It is as said just funny, coz anyone ask what do u use and then it starts:
"I use pro software XXX"
"Oh, i use a more pro program"
"And i've the most pro of all"
"BTW FL is crap for kiddies"
"XXX is better coz it is more pro then YYY"
...
..
But as u said and we all know the results are what counts.
Peace

Has anyone used Abelton Live 4 yet??? I am trying to get a little feedback on it in regards to how it handles the vsts.... One of the things I dislike about Logic is its poor timestreching capabilities especially when it comes to drums. I tried using Cubase Sx 2 and I seemed to have the same issues about stretching drumloops. I use Recycle and Phatmatic Pro, so it's not too big of a deal, but I am trying to streamline my production process so I am not spending time cutting drum loops and I can just plug and play on the fly... I really am in love with the native effects that Logic has though.... There is something about their compressor that really meshes well with me... That compressor has made the difference for me in all of my tracks...

what the hell do you mean with "more pro"?
IMO the only thing that can be more pro is actually the artist himself.
There are people who can work magic without having top-notch 'pro' software.

FL,Reason 2.5,logic 5.3, nuendo 2...
logic was for long my favorite, after the macdeal i started with nuendo.. logic is realy logic , but the audio features of steinberg are killer (timestrech), more easy to work straight on audio..
i heard friends making killer sound on FL, so its more about creativity.
live 4 is cool as rewire
be creativ |

What i would probably find more interesting would be how do you use such programs?! like people say 'i am thinking of changing from FL to Ableton", are they not completely different programs?
In what WAYS do you use the programs?
Do you use rewire into cubase? Or Logic or Ableton or whatever?
Do you use the inbuilt samples that come with fruity or reason?
How do you use it?
I do not know of a proper way to use the programs i am very unsure and i simply and just playing at the moment..., i have no idea what they do really... |

Just bought Live . . .
is a fine piece of art in music generation !
I had alot of forgotten samples, with live you can turn single samples into a seamless audio output and finally create a mere wave file .
Just do not forget Roland Hardware for *real*
leads & baselines !!!
