emi 2|6 is very good i have, very low latency, usb powered, RCA cables, very convenient to carry, there is also the 6|2 m

now if you want more inputs/outputs motu 828 is very good choice, (i plan to buy this one )

I think Motu is a good one, has also a Isis, there is a good web site, wich one has a lot of good sound cards even with usb port:

Hey!!
well, i wouldnt suggest a USB Soundcard with more than 4 I/O's , coz USB is not fast enough for this things. i'd reccomend any of Echo audio cards ( that connect using PCMCIA which is much much faster and better...

http://www.echoaudio.com if i'm not mistaken , there's Layla and Gina which are GREAT, i can gaurrenty that, and they have a new card called INDIGO which is made specially for laptops...

once again - no USB! u can wait for USB2 cards or buy a firewire device (but then u have to get a mac or a convertor, which is expansive... ). echo audio are good cards, recommended.
