I'm going to reread my favorite book, _Tristram Shandy_ by Lawrence Sterne. To my mind it is as thorough a rejection of the military as any, plus it is hilarious I find. Peace on Earth, Peace in Afghanistan MC |

'tis a brilliant book.

Brilliant it is. There's a depth to it not often found in novels these days. Required my brain to slow down to digest the layers of implication and letting my own mind think a little deeper.
Next up, for some lighter reading, I'm taking up my mom's memoir of her days in Paris in the '50s, "Life at the Cafe Berlitz".
