Hi there people, i would like to have any helping ideas about which is the best way to promote a psytrance project in order to get people to listen to your music? Do you like send promotional tracks even if unreleased? Internet sites? Any kind of promotional media would help...

As far as I am concerned, a professional-grade free promo distributed online is the best way to get your sound out there. This follows the premise that the best means of promoting music IS music! Check out what I've done on my site, specifically in the free music section: http://www.ektoplazm.com/section/free-music/
There is also a download stats page where you can see how successful each given release is.
The key here is to give away quality tracks in lossless format with a cover and a good bit of promotional information that new listeners can use to contact you or follow what you are doing in the future. Such a setup would also get DJs involved in promoting you by playing your tracks and increasing exposure. In these times where there are many artists playing the field and people are swamped with projects to check out, putting some real effort into a free promo will really make any project stand out (as long as the music itself is quality). I've heard some of your tunes on your MySpace page before and think they sound good, and would be glad to help you out if you're interested in the idea... just contact me  any way it goes, good luck!

Hey Basilisk man, thank you very much for your reply and also for your offer...We are in the meantime trying to do our best to make good promotion of this project it is a lot of hard work and we feel that after all the work we did to make it now we have like a new fulltime job to be done in promotion! Anyway any help from anybody is welcome please let us know your ideas about promotion we would really appreciate it!

from my point of view if you want to get noticed and promoted, is to promote your music on internet and send it to known labels.
also if you want to get fans of your music you should give them some music, maybe a track or two?
people really like to colect music, at least me, and i walways find interesting when an artist gives on track from time to time - not much people are able to buy albuns, and get some tracks is an interesting way to get noticed.
