It's actually a Jew's Harp, which is kinda fitting for this forum! There are two instruments called hurdy-gurdys. Ok...sorry about that...I must have been misinformed by my english friends.

Funny because in swedish the "jews harp" is called "mungiga" and some of the old string instruments that is similar to what you described is also called in old swedish "giga"...for example "nyckelgiga" which is like a violin with button you press that will pluck the strings....a bit like a portable clavinette.

Anyway....getting into some funny old instuments here....i bet they sound quite cool the old hurdy-gurdys...come on...grab a mic and head off for your local fiddlers convention

pavel is always complaining... never being of any help... i think he won this "job" sucking ass %)

anyway... the most insane... instrument is to fart into a microphone and then process it with loads of delay and distorcion

then sample, reverse and get through flanger or aural exciter (what ? don't have it as a vst? go figure...)

to really make it sound better add distorted samples of pavel complaining and sucking...
