i started this thread because i am interested to know........in which direction is trance heading in your part of the world ? 
what is it you mostly hear these days at parties ?
is it full-on, tech-trance, progressive or even the housey club trance ??
its a very diverse scene now 
what do you think ?

Well, here in Israel trance has been heading in the full-on\techy direction over the last year. Just look at all the new talents which have popped up over the past year or so: PPS Project, Pixel, Sesto Sento, Hujaboy... and many many more....

here in toronto we have the cybergoth movement, fueled by newer techtrance style... for example you may have heard PTK's track on AP records new compilation "first impression"... sort of deep and dank with a military aspect... here you can go to a party and see people clad in black pvc fetish clothing, wearing eyeliner etc and dancing away to crunchy beats... i find that aspect of toronto to be amusing 
i'd like to push goa here and internationally though... are there listeners? |

You probably misunderstood me. I am a known goa lover who would not listen to any progressive stuff, and people told me that I'll eventually move to progressive. I refused to believe them, but it happened.
So it was a note to them

In Portugal the scene goes like this:you have ppl that goes and knows trance partys and atmosphere since 2000/01 that are full on lovers,then you have ppl that goes to partys since 98 that are psy lovers and then you have ppl that started the scene here in Portugal that generally are in progressive stuff and also ambient Goa influenced ,this is my case i started to go to trance parties in the end of 96 and i was a psy lover then ,then i tended to dislike with the passing of the years till i listened to some Techno trance and afterwards progressive and minimal!!!
Ppl like what they like and my opinion is that trance is heading in many directions mainly to more comercial ways (Eurotrance;Full on )that also make more fans that progressive side !! |
