I have noticed that many of my song appears
to sound untight, where hihat , basses and other instruments doesn´t pass by fast enough. So im thinking about producing my songs at faster tempos at the moment.
I usually stay at 145 when producing my songs , but im gonna try 230 bpm or something
and letting the kick come at other places to keep the 4/4.
What tempo do you other people here produce at ? |

It shouldn't make any difference. It is about the sounds you use, the way you edit them and the way you sequence them.

That sounds like a nightmare! I could understand going to 290 (2x145) even though it is pointless but going to 230 would mean that the beats and bars of your song are not aligned with the beats and bars in your sequencer. ARGH!

undertow is right.
230 bpm maybe make sense for speedcore or something.
just pick the tempo your music needs, not that one you think is the best.
i like between 10 and 200 bpm... |
