i agree with psysage. though i'm running cubase 32 on vista 64 without ANY issues whatsoever. i just wanted to see how that would work out for me when i built my new system and had to set up everything anyway. but it works great, so i'm just keeping it. but if you have something set up right now which does what you need, there's really no benefit to switch.

If you are talking about x64 systems then you wont have better sound environment. but windows and application performance will increase. also some software doesnt suppor 64 bit yet (starting with adobe flash).

My Flash works fine...
I have been running Windows 7 x64 for 3 RC versions now and only once has my machine broken down, but that was my own fault (DON'T CROSSFLASH YOUR BIOS!!)... Right now I am looking at an uptime of 6 Days and 22 hours...
And if your software doesn't support 64 bit computing, then windows can just emulate 32 bit.. As long as it's not drivers...
After I switched to win7, I actually saw an increase in performance from my XP pro...
I don't know if it's win7 or the change from 32bit to 64bit, but either way there is no point in holding on to an old system, if the new is better...
(granted... my tiny xp runs faster, but I can't do anything with it)...
My advice is to get windows 7 and get a 64bit ready machine or a mac...
