btw soft didn t make me sell my virus...i would have kept it if i didnt need the cash.. but virus C was about loosing lot of value cause of the next version.. normal resale price was 900/1000 euros for the desktop.. synth like imposcar and a few others just contribued to not miss the virus much

Well, the Virus C sounds much better through the Moogerfoogers. They make it sound more deep and slight overdrive to add some grit and balance out that "plastic" sound.

I've had the B, Polar TI and now C, only because I found it cheap enough. I would not pay over 500€ for any Virus, including the TI that sells for a grand these days, used.

duophonic mode on an old ARP ODDESEY.

if you listen theres a drone pitch in the lead sound that would be the root note and gives the SOUND of a sort of sync / fm sound
as the ohter note in duophonic gives the other pitch.....hard to explain...if im making sense

should be able to use the GFORCE oddity for this

definely sound better with foogers like almost any synths always bash the virus but in your tune it never bothered me tbh.. but you use many other synths..that also for that.

probably...but the trick would be in getting the modulator to track and tune the fm so it scales properly...a bit of both
so velocity to both seperately and not so much writing the riff but wiggling it into shape

I was thinking it may just be a saw wave going thru a bp filter with high resonance, and velocity to filter frequency to create the pitch jump on the first two notes.

i think it was a oscar for underworld rez , if my memorie is correct there is even the preset of this lead into imposcar

or you will find it on the net how to do it exaclty so you can try to replicate it in other synth..this lead have been really popular in the past
