Hopefully you guys can help me identify which synth is responsible for the sound which comes in at 1.15.
That resonance sounds soooo good!

some really nice sound mate, should ask this on gearslutz are there is many analog synth experts there..

my guess that was also some vintage one too.. haven t heard such nice caractere coming out of a newer analog yet (except modular stuff) ..but could be wrong.. was also thinking roland or arp but just cause of ruling out some other brands/synths.. really have no clue ..

dig the second link one too.. where do you find always some intresting stuff djones man.. you should pm me some links..

btw very similar patch were used in some old trance classic tune from around 95 ...wish i could remember the name.. but the sound instanely remind me this

was listing on my cans but some sounds have a rawness that i find impressing, my Xs don t have this i think.. when comparing to some sh101 sounds i have find that little something on the 101 too.. that i think it s more something that can be present in vintage analog in general.

Today, the SH-101 is saving my life ,from his tweets ..dont mean it s this one though ,but he own one

on the second sample the sound i dig i hope it s a modern analog man...cause everytime i heard great sound from vintage it make me want some but it s too much hassle..and it make me think newer analog just dont have the same sound quality (except sutff that cost a arm and a legg maybe )these are still good but...

on the second sample the sound i dig it seems a bit thick to be a 101, i would say it s a other vintage roland ..but really not familiar with these synth it s just a guess

i listened more of his stuff, there is a live at fabric that is supposed to be great.. really frustating to hear some simple sound that you can t touch just cause they rely so much on the quality/caractere of the synth core

dunno just a impression..vintage usually touch me in a different way than modern stuff as it s stuff i heard since i was child and teen... rarely i have find a modern synth to sound vintage and do the same thing to me but it can happen sometimes on some synths with some clever programing,on some patchs ...

also some of the top vintage analog equipment have sound quality that dont have equivalent /outclass modern one .. and here some of the sound seems with a really nice caractere to me.
it s maybe modern stuff though..it s just a guess from someone that dont have much experience using vintage synths and analog one in general.. but i hear them since young..

+1 and if I remember correctly in an old Future Music interview in the early '00s, they said it was a Virus A that did that resonant signature patch in their live sets.
Although I doubt the original studio version track has a Virus doing that sound.

They did own a 106, ARP and OSCAr when they made that tune.
By the way, I must say that regardless of how close imOSCAr is to the original, its a damn good soft synth.

yeah totally agree... it s one of the soft that made me sell my virus, was using it a lot at that time.

i m not sure but i think the hardware is a digital synth with a analog filter
