Ive been experiencing several occasions in my musical life which has completly turned my head up side down and turned me into the one i am today... One of these experiences was back in 2000 malmoe/sweden where Tegma&Ticon did a live set... Before all of us even knew what "Bloody Mary" was except for the drink... It was a feeling of reborned taste for proggressive music... all that has been heard before was just nostalgic memorys in some way of trying to forget it and urging for more of the "NEW". Well it didnt stop there this night Ticon came along and in the end of their smashing liveset WE ARE THE MAMMOTH HUNTERS eased my urges a bit and left me completly breathless... All artists has a PEAK (lets call it that, u can predict the future), Tegma did X-calibur, Ticon did Mammoth hunters, son kite made Hi-fi Stomp session, Pixel made Black In black out, domestic made scotch, Antix made i wanna be and so on and so on, all these tracks left me urging for more... Which has brought me to this question.... when is the next period of mind smashing releases planned? do u have any clue what makes us more "vunerable" to the beats or is it unexplainable?
give me youre thoughts!

I think this year, at least for me the mindblowing stuff will come from the Iboga guys. From what i heard from Emok before one month here in Athens, the Phony Orphants album it's a real Killer showing their uniq sound totaly evolved. but this is for sure a matter of taste... i also have been realy amazed by "Julez & Stone – Always Begun (Mechanism)" great track, lots of psychedelic inside. when i played it in a big sound system i recognized how HUGE it was!!

and a few others i may have forgotten.
Well anyways. You are right Rosengren! I am waiting for the day when the Smash hits come out to kill me. Havent had that happen in a long time. Maybe 1 or 2 come out in about a 3 month period but thats it. I remember the days when almost all releases had a mind blowing killer! but nowadays you got compilations that dont have one track that leaves an impression.
Well Im waiting to hear the new Cosma and Ticon albums!!! they should be something!!!! |

I would say Sub 6 & Pixel - Teder Beseder is one of those tracks which turned me upside down recently...also the new biotonic album sound really fresh to me...it's like the comming of spring....too bad it's still cold here
