It's been a while since I've seen this thread on the first page. (I'm kinda partial cos its the first one I ever posted on this forum)
anyway .. to the point.
Metatronic II will be here in bout 3 weeks. I've totally given up hope with the people in Purdue. Useless bunch of Armin Van Buuren addicts. Is there anyone else out there who is headed for the party?
Im not the biggest IU fan but im guessing there's lots more hope down there... have u fellows managed to mobilise yet? If you ever wanna set anything up It'll be a welcome change.
If youre looking to get psyheads together. Start a group on the facebook. It actually works. I've managed to get hold of a bunch of halfbreeds.

Alright, no one from IU's really interested in the stuff goin on around Chicago (metatronic, etc) cause it's a 4 hr drive for non goatrance....
Fuck it,..... I'd say, all in all, Indiana's quite useless....for the teeeeeerance anyway. |

It will be well worth the 4 hour drive! And there are going to be 2 stages. One for our Goa and the other with whatever chill.... Both Toki and Underfoot are monster DJs... listen to their set on audiognomes and u'll know what im talking bout. And then theres BSM who I hear plays absolute dark mania.
It's working out to be the perfect blend ... really hope u guys make it. One reason being that all us IN people can meet up and maybe plan something for the future. We've definitely got better locations than anywhere in Chicago. |

i have more or less given up on bloomington IN
or maybe i have just not put in enough effort
to be completely honest i would not drive 4 hrs for an indoor party EVER! whether it be in India or here. I love the trance and love parties and have been for many crazy indoor scenes BUT we all CRAVE an outdoor event in the midwest.
I must also point out that there are NO big artists playing either. I understand that it is essential to support the local scene to enhance the community and make it grow. Maybe i am just TOO impatient for that. I do not doubt that these djs and artists are extremely talented (i have heard them on numerous occasions) but you need a big name to draw a croud - a fact.
I look forward to Gil in Ashville where i will DEFINITELY be. Kudos to promoters in the Chicago area. If we Indians had cars in Bloomington I assure you we would be there. If we just had the motivation! I am done with the midwest in June but look forward to passing through Chicago in the future to see a KICKING psytrance community.

Oh boy ... you guys missed one hell of a party.
I stand by the fact the parties run my local DJs end up better than the International ones... and it was'nt a club scene at all. It was pure psychadelic mania. Amazing crowd, decor and music. The 4 hour drive would have been more than worth it! |
