yes! you discribed this absolutly perfect!!
this is exactly how i feel about this. those
magical moments are just a bit rare and yes
when i really get in it, i normally also come to
my limits because i dont know my software
and my equipment good enough. this is pretty
sad but hopefully with the time i will learn to fully
use my possibilities with my equipment.

About being able to express your ideas, yes, I definetelly think that the more experience you get, the easier it will be for you to output your ideas into the track, for example you may want to do a certain sound, but you don't know how to do it... you can have the inspiration for great ideas but you need the knowledge to express them....
