Where's the intelligent bit of the forum about trance culture....

The intelligent ones have left Isratrance a long time ago, or they just appear every now and then. Most now are in Psynews. Problem with Isra is that moderators let it become a "KILLAAARGHH!!!" forum, where most users seem to be in a perpetual haze, posting nonsense answers and posts, there are no serious point of views on politics, arts, life, science. It's only the "killlaaargh!!!" stuff and its subgenres. Mediocre posts/topics are allowed, that's what this site is all about. |

Dear Goa-Ganges.
I guess you consider yourself one of the "intelligent" ones and is among the small elitist clique at psynews (a community with absolutely nothing happening and a clique that prevent new members to sign up because of their attacks on people who have a different taste in music). A clique who consider people, who do not think new-goa is "all that", as being weird and not "real" members of the scene?
Take a good look around some of the sub forums on isra, i suggest you try the music and production forum, and you will discover in dept debates. I dare you. I do not see any political topics or any deep debates on psynews. There it's all about Suntrip Records, their "amazing" artists and their followers and predictable reviews from the same person 24/7.

Let's not turn this into another psynews vs. isratrance thread. Both forums have lots of good discussions going on (well, occasionally) and many people are active users on both forums.
Much of the reason we don't see many discussions here anymore is because of facebook. Way back this forum was a meeting-place where people from all over the world could discuss parties and music, but these discussions have definitely spread out to other places on the internet that are more easily accessible and where friends discuss with friends. It's hard times for niche forums like this - so we're left with mostly us hardcore geeks who complain that everything was better in "the good old days" out of old habit 
And yeah, the whole pic-trolling has gone a bit too far. I'm definitely not innocent myself, but come on - we must admit that it's been a bit extreme at times and some valid topics have been drowned in the Jacynth-avatar and other types of nonsense. Should we just ask 4chan to make a trance subforum and close down Isratrance?

And lets get the facts right. Psynews is almost dead in the department of activity (this is not a vs. thing just a fact).
And where is your comment on the fact a certain person here have a hard time posting her topics in the correct forum and rant on and on about it instead of posting her topics in the right forum?
If I made up a mumbo jumbo topic in the wrong part of isra I would expect people to take the piss out of me
Fact is also that a few of the mods here on isra seem to have no problem with the pics and/or Jacynth. So basically you mods does not see eye to eye in this matter. www.beatagency.dk |

But not if you thought that what you were communicating was some fascinating potentially wonderous piece of information, that would appeal to the general nature of psytrance people.
Now whether it actually is or not, is for the thread in question, and not the topic of discussion here, I was just showing how close-minded you come across to me, through your lack of empathy, and seemingly not seeing other people's point of view, without being prejudged by whether it is right or true according to some ideal standard you have in your head.
Sure some of Moki's thread make me roll my eyeballs, but I don't troll and post in the threads unless I am ultimately prepared to take part in the discussion as a mature person, rather than the child you come across, which then just brings the worst behaviour out in Moki and us all.
Psytrance I thought was about "understanding" where each other come from, and why we might have such strange notions that we do, and to be able to express them without sniggers, and "scientific material imperialism/elitism" (remember it was the same attitude that "colonised the primitives" and build the atom bomb). Not that there is anything wrong with scientific materialism/reasoning just don't let it turn you into a robot imho.

Hmm? I don't remember saying that Psynews is ultra-super-power, as you read it (perpetully dazed, perhaps?). What I wrote is that ISRA became a Nobody's Land, and if it's not an interesting anymore, from a psychedelic angle, blame on the Moderators. Take a look at MK47's post, for instance. What's the meaning of that photo? Nonsense? And most topics here, you see the likes of Jacynth, MK47 and others who have absolutely nothing good to say, but keep posting, truncating any sort of good conversation we could have. |
