Where is the Trance going?

The Trance these days is evolving, changing and taking a different turn. From a very underground, low finainced comunity - its moving into the world of main streem. Many people would say that it is ruining the scene, making it for the mass, bringing in people who would never go to a nature party and do LSD....but from the other hand it is getting more known in the world, getting more backup from money industries wich means: bigger productions, better sound, more competitive artists who try to brake new boundries.
I belive that this is a stage that will pass.....all the croed that isnt a TRACEAWEED eventually will leave to a different scene of music....and in 1-2 years Trance will be more quality, best productions and best crowd.

I agree.
some people say it's a problem to get so big and known, but in my opinion it's the natural course of something that's so fascinating. the commercial part of it, the pop part of it will happen, but it can bring more quality to the music, more work oportunities to the producers and Djs.
in these hard days we live, the world getting crazy... the Trance community is trying do make a difference. and we can change things if we want. may sound too silly, but I believe.
make the difference wherever you are. there are no limits to spread love.
the wave will pass like other fashions, the spirit of all will stay and we who really love Trance will by there...
Am I wrong?

Looks to me like our scene is going into 4 different directions. One is the dark "hardcore" style which I think will someday merge with hard trance. Then there's the mainstream which is ofcourse full on, which reminds me of happy hardcore. This imo will be the next big thing in commercial raves. Then there's progressive/tech side which is going more and more techno/idm/house way. And will imo again no doubt someday merge totally with them. Then last, but to me not least there's psytrance which is a bit of everything but most importantly remains "psychedelic"..

Anywhich ways...the whole world know what the music is all about..let everyone come and experience it...
The guys who like it...will stay in the culture...
The guys who dont..will move off...
And eventually you might get some big shots, sponcers, or music companies who wanna be a part of it & make the scene even more bigger... |
