Yeah, I don't like it when my street looks like Stalingrad; meanwhile, they are polishing a street a few blocks away for nteenth time because a city councilman lives there.
What I am trying to say here: it could be just a particular organizer doing a favor for a particular friend/relative of his by booking his “out of context” act. And if it’s a common trend in the Scene – it still may mean the same thing: it’s about private interests of particular organizers and not some “paradigm shift” (hate that expression! ). Just like I am sure there are many freshly paved streets with city councilmen living on them.

Just want to say we had a fantastic time at Solstice Festival in Ruigoord last weekend, some amazing music from many many great artists and DJs... loving the variation in psychedelia that the scene is moving towards nowadays. There's always been so much more out there than 146bpm duggadugga and it's great that people are opening their minds and accepting it again. From the earliest days, psy has always taken on influences from other styles of dance music, and I think it's a very positive thing that all the tiny sub-genres are moving together again - back in the 1990s there was a fracturing of the dance music tribes; at the beginning you'd hear house next to goa next to techno but very soon the genre-fascists took over so you would hear only one kind of music at a psy party. This is ending now at the parties and festivals I go to, with trippy music of all kinds - techno, electro, house, breaks - all starting to take their rightful place alongside psy. I believe it's the intention and psychedelia that matters, not whether you stay within some stupid rigid little genre box.
Happy news and well done to the organisers at Ruigoord for putting on such a fantastic event, I was told it's one of the last places in NL where this kind of thing can happen so it's well worth supporting.

agree whith all styles union and of course no boring and same sounds
but there has to be some flow in the party.
an organizer is something like a dj by puting acts in the right time.
doing this like it's done is like bad selection or flow...
it's not artist's fault or his music style for sure!

Indeed Ruigoord is unique and special palce only for the aplce is worth be there for sure. but as for the music, sorry I did hear maybe 1 or 2 sets that was worth and with some directions in it. Musicwise i was more pelased at the chill out, cause the same tracks form 3/4 years being overpalyed and then again,
but come on 5 o'clock in the morning, the chillum was ready but none to share it wirth, if you see whjat i mean. the disco music leave it disco. probably can be psychedelic but at some other moment and some other place. if i was not openminded i did not went to this event at first place, I would like to experience something different. but let's say it dissapointed me as already mentioned good house or elektro there are otehr events where I can go if i want taht kind of sound. once again is nice maybe to be drunk and on pils with it but it does not make me travel as trance does.

electro and minimal is only funny to me.But well psytrance is not my religion or sth.And techno and all its corneres without goa - and psytrance or goa on its own - was for us here always two pairs of shoes.
There never was a psytrance chapter on the loveparade ,but on fuckparade a few hehe
Electro is only damn waste of my precious time on every event where I wanted to have a psycedelic flight.
But I see that harmony of all possible techno related music,I just never liked it to me it was about psycedelic and that will never change.
Electro and techno has its place on other corners maybe mayday or sth like that IMO.Let psytrance and goa for freaks.
Peace
